If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.I will never compromise my faith for the sake of unity.
Living at peace with others does not mean compromising your faith for the sake of peace... Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not compromise their faith in God for the sake of peace and unity When they refused to bow to the golden statue, when they chose to be thrown into the fiery furnace instead of bowing to that statue of gold,, and neither did Daniel when King Darius told him to not pray... Daniel continued to pray... He even prayed at the window... he did not compromise his faith in God for the sake of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Proverbs 4:27This is all true, and I just saw the Sight and Sound production of Daniel last Tuesday, which was excellent.
However, I must point out that there is a world of difference between being asked to bow and worship an idol vs. where we find ourselves in the current political landscape. Whether one supports Trump or Biden, no one is being asked to deny God.
I strongly believe that extreme rhetoric from the left resulted in the attempt on Trump's life. However, there is also extreme rhetoric coming from the right regarding Biden. None of it is helpful.
You are entitled to your opinions, but understand that rhetoric has consequences.
Yes, you are absolutely right. I have no full knowledge of God's will for the Presidency, though it would seem Trump aligns with Israel and other policies better than Biden. You highlight an important point too that such a near death experience will affect Trump as an individual. It does not escape me either that since a Christian brother died from this shooter, that Satan was behind the hate and we all should pray more against such violence. To say because God caused Trump to survive this is to influence the election for Trump would be to say Trump will be the President once again. Could end up being but be careful of putting out a thought it's God's will that he'll become such.
Could also be God did protect him from being taken out so that for the rest of his life he will give praise to God and acknowledge the God of heaven was gracious to him. We're already seeing that expressed by him and I'm sure will in the days ahead. I think it could shake up some of his extreme critics though although they won't admit it publicly. But in their quite times they got to be thinking, "By gosh! I can say I'm so much against him but it sure does look like there was God protecting him!"
One might say but a bullet did hit him...blood on the ear......but the message becomes even more clear.......while God didn't commission this thing to take place God intervened in such a way to let it be perfectly clear to him in no uncertain terms how close to the edge he was from not being here. If it were me this happened to there wouldn't be a day for the rest of my life that wouldn't be on my mind. I wouldn't think he'll ever get away from not being thankful to God.
Did either the POTUS or the Governor condemn all the rhetoric comparing Trump to Hitler or claims that he is an existential threat to democracy made by the media, activists and Democrats?Shooting - The Democrats Won... I say that as the US President and Pennsylvania Governor all gave correct responses to the shooting. Next week will be important for the Republicans to respond with equal dignity. Any kind of war talk will work against them.
I've (rarely) complimented Trump when I honestly felt that he was doing something positive, like promoting his vaccine against the hesitance of his supporters.I took it as a compliment.
I think we get used to certain posters taking certain positions and can't fathom they may write a post with a different tone.
There will be a lot of folks who were fence sitters who will now respond by voting for him. With the caveat that I have a hard time understanding what appeals to most people these days:
idk… It’s a good image for sure, but I kind of feel like the folks who find that sort of thing appealing would’ve already been voting for him.
And I don't think there ever will be even if there is.I don't think this will effect the elections much, if at all.
There's zero evidence Trump's shooter was motivated by political partisanship.
Lol, a minor injury from a bullet during an assassination attempt. He didn't accidentally cut his finger while chopping onions. What about this event changes anything for you? Is it because you think Trump is going to be a better president because he can get a hit of adrenaline, and pump his fist in the air after suffering a minor injury?
Nobody is winning. Trump supporters don't look good at all. Since they still support Trump. They claim to be Christians. Trump behaves worse than most people . And the Conservative Christians should be governing in churches. Not governing secular people. So nobody is winning.Shooting - The Democrats Won... I say that as the US President and Pennsylvania Governor all gave correct responses to the shooting. Next week will be important for the Republicans to respond with equal dignity. Any kind of war talk will work against them.
Those who control the narrative control the evidence. Reminds me of that quote by Ned Beatty who played a corrupt Senator in the movie, "Shooter" - THE TRUTH IS WHAT I SAY IT IS.And I don't think there ever will be even if there is.
You have no basis for the implication that those of us who (a) think the election of Donald Trump will be a disaster; and (b) are happy that the attempt on his life failed are being dishonest. They go on and on about Trump being the worst person on earth who must be stopped at all costs.
And they've supposedly made up for that by tossing out a few platitudes?
All those posting all over the internet they are sad or angry it wasn't successful are at least being honest.
Do you consider yourself a member of the radical left? You have no basis for the implication that those of us who (a) think the election of Donald Trump will be a disaster; and (b) are happy that the attempt on his life failed are being dishonest.
Perhaps you want to paint us in such a disreputable light, but you have no case. It is reasonable to assume but a small minority of those who dislike Donald Trump wish the attempt had succeeded, but it is entirely unreasonable to think this is the majority view.
In this respect, it is also disingenuous to claim that a person who says "Trump must be stopped at all costs" include assassination as an acceptable option. We we all know that people use the phrase "at all costs" as a non literal figure of speech.
How nice for you to blather about and denigrate a career politician like it has some sort of meaning beyond you venting your spleen. Christians of every generation were convinced that they were living in the “end times”, what makes you so sure you are correct about this opinion?Jesus called the Pharisees and the Sadducees Whitewashed Tombs, broods of Vipers, and the blind leading the blind... I don't walk on egg shells for any one. I call it like it is. I believe we are in the end times, and I also believe that Joe Biden is the fulfillment of the 3rd seal that is mentioned in Revelation 6. I don't care if people disagree with me, my allegiance is to Jesus Christ, not Biden, not trump, not Vivek Ramaswamy, but to Christ and Christ alone.
If someone is right, I will say out loud that it is right. If someone is wrong, I will say that they are wrong, and if someone is evil, I will call them evil.
I will never compromise my faith for the sake of unity.
No. And why are you evading my point?Do you consider yourself a member of the radical left?
Who on this site has blamed Trump for the assassination attempt? I am not saying that no one has done this, but I would be surprised if anyone here has, let alone "quite a few".It's interesting to note that not many leftists here have actually condemned the assassination attempt. We've had quite a few blame Trump for it.
I don't know. What did "the enemy of the people" report?Did either the POTUS or the Governor condemn all the rhetoric comparing Trump to Hitler or claims that he is an existential threat to democracy made by the media, activists and Democrats?
They did not - so I don't believe that their responses were correct.
