CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Characters; Lorelai Gilmore from The Gilmore Girls. Temperance Brennan from Bones. Kara "Starbuck" Thrace from Battlestar Galactica. Jack O'Neill from SG-1. Gul Dukat from DS9
Favourite show, um, at the moment its probably Bones. But the best show I have ever seen altogether was the new Battlestar Galactica.
Films? Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Lotus Flower, Band of Brothers.
A Stargate. Not for personal use but just that while the whole world is eating and breathing and going to work and falling asleep, a small group of people are secretly traveling to other worlds.

On the computer, I have a program that limits me to an hour and a half each day. TV is a bigger issue for me, I often channel surf from one thing to the next for hours at a time.

Do you like having a program that limits your internet use?
and how on earth did you end up with such a thing on your PC, I had a Swedish mate that had his router on a timer thanks to his parents which meant he couldn't be online past a certain hour, but the only time I've ever seen or heard of timers have been school/libary etc places.

I'll be blunt here, because you asked and I don't think that you'll judge me (or I don't really care if you do no more), I'm an ex-ish pornography addict and this program was one of the things recommended to use to break that habbit.
I was the one who initiated the idea with my parents...in some way its annoying because it sometimes puts the most random sites under 'pornography' and it hides distressing scenes from you-which is something I don't agree with-but all in all, having it on the computer in a way makes me proud that I've made the choice to build my life on more healthy things and proud that when, if someone looks up the useage reports its been clean. It also gives you a sense of security that if you are tempted, there's no point in bothering. To answer your question, I like and enjoy the acting out of accountability alot more than acting out being sneaky and wasteful of my life, and the program is part of that, even though the program itself can sometimes be hypersensitive.

I'll admit, I'm impressed with the answer, I do to some degree think your mad,but that's purely because I know if I could only spend an hour a day online I'd end up like Jack Nicholson in the Shining.
Next question, since your in the UK, Hows the weather been for you? and have you been able to make a snowman yet (It's all got too dry and fluffy where I am, and refuses to stick together.)

its not been to bad considering the rest of the country. The snow is not the right type for snowmen here either, but apparently there is more on the way for us.

I am struggling. I am currently half way through a two week stint in Bosnia helping teach English and I dont know where God is taking my life-almost like I donćt want to trust Him. My day today started hard because i needed some alone time but is getting better because I have team members who graciously gave me that.
