Hi guys

When I was at high school, many years ago now, ;) Elton John was THE dude that everyone was listening to, so my best kept secret was that I was a big fan of the Osmonds. At that time you just didn't even admit to knowing who they were!! :D One night I rang the radio station to answer a question about them, and I won an Osmond album. Next day at school my secret was OUT!! Everyone in my class had been listening in that night! The cool thing was that they didn't tease me about it either!! :)

Boney M. Oh yes, and the streets. I just can’t get the line “I’m not trying to pull you, even though I would Like to, I think you are really fit, your fit but my Gosh don’t you know it” out of my mind. To the extent I have been caught twice now singing it out loud whilst setting up a PA system in a Goth club.

Mind you it could be worse, I've actually played Boney M “Ra Ra Rasputin” in a Goth club! I managed to fill the dance floor and get things thrown at me with the one track - now THAT takes talent :)

Oh yes, and there is a Welsh band out at the moment calling themselves “Goldie looking Chains” that are basically a novelty act that set out to mock the current wave of UK yob culture that consists of middle class white kids pretending to be African American ghetto gangsters (which is ironic since they tend to be racist little oyks). The band are currently getting a lot of airplay with “Guns don’t kill people... rappers do!” which has me cracking up every time I hear it;

“Guns don’t kill people rappers do, I seen it in a documentary on BBC2” etc... comedy gold.

I should point out the singer has a lisp so he pronounces “Rappers” as “wappers”.

I'm not embarrassed by any of the music I listen to. I don't think that appreciation of music in any form is something to be embarassed about. So all you closet Hanson fans step forward and embrace your geekiness! ;)

I do have several CDs that several people would stumble across in my collection and do a double take on because it doesn't really fit their perceptions of my musical liking...like my Frank Sinatra CDs and my Kid Rock compilation CD. I own No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom CD. Every album released by Creed. A Smashmouth CD. Third Eye Blind's first album. (I think I developed an unhealthy affinity for that album back in High School). So those aren't CDs that you'd necessarily associate with me, but I do listen to them and enjoy them. But I'm not embarrassed by them by any means.

TATU!
I seem to gravitate towards the chick bands. I wonder why...?
Their cover of The Smiths' "How Soon Is Now?" is actually pretty good, IMO.

LOL me too!!!

Did anyone ever see that Disney cartoon version of Robin Hood? Where Robin Hood was the fox? I love that movie and when I was little I used to watch it all the time. The hamsterdance song is the same as one of the songs in that movie, but sped up, and with some extra elements!!!
