CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ah, I didn't read back that far. I just read someone calling you "Silly Wabbit" Which is from the KIX commercial. "Silly Wabbit, Trix are for kids!"
Nah...it's not hunting season. And besides..I would hate to see what a cannon ball would do to a rabbit.

"Loose Canon" was only put there because someone kept thinking I should be predictably "nice" for no other reason than because I'm a woman. And I'm sorry...but it's just not my primary focus in life. Nor do I think that gender predetermines a person's character...or should it. I'm not here on this earth to win a popularity contest at the cost of being a real person. And I'm not going to fake that to be liked by anyone. I'm just too old to waste my time on that sort of thinking anymore. (this is the short version of this answer)

It takes a long time to really get to know someone and come to appreciate all that there is to appreciate about him or her. I sometimes wonder how many gems I have passed up because I never gave him or her a chance and never knew what beautiful things there were about the person and the friendship / relationship one could have together ...

Yeah, expectations because of personal prejudices are like static on the radio. I wonder sometimes if people would be better at everything they wanted to acheive, if they weren't so busy trying to prove their worth to other people.

wisdom seeeker and Dr. Bob.I just got back from a birthday party with a whole bunch of church friends. was good. Almost didnt go was going to sew all night but instead, I'm glad I did. It was actually fun
