We'd scheduled an induction for Monday, but rather hoped baby would come earlier. She did! 7:18 this morning, after 3 hours of labor and a very fast drive to the hospital. I barely got into the bed and her head was already half out; just a push and a half and it was all over. I lay and laughed while DH helped clean her up. No worry about IV, monitor, or anything else. DH got to catch and helped with the cord, etc. The doctor came by about a half hour later.
She is very cute; round head and face with double chin and long black hair.
8lbs 10oz, 20 inches long.
Gotta try to wake her up and nurse again; she did once right away, but has been asleep most of the time since then.

So, how is the new little bundle settling in, she sleep a lot still?? And how is Mom doing... are you recuperating and resting up??

She is doing quite well. Slowly adjusting to life in the daytime (before the birth she'd got the habit of waking up right at bedtime). She is a quiet girl; likes to just hang out with us when she's awake.

I'm doing great. Trying to stay hydrated. The birth was so easy I didn't get worn out, so I'm about back to normal. People comment that we are up and out, but really I'm not straining at all. God is gracious! It is all about Him, not me.
