  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I wrote this after watching a documentary about Aids in sub Saharan Africa.

She Eats
the simple plan @ 2002

I watch in agony
From my lofty position in the diaspora
As she painfully eats away
At those I have left behind

So easy to make a value judgement
From my cosy tower of monogamy
Looking out of my fishbowl
Wondering how many more she can devour

The undertaker reports
That he makes over 200 soul boxes a week
Is he making a killing?
Or is she?

Conspiracy suggests that
Medicine had a hand in creating such havoc
But who perpetuates the finger
of poison that grasps the motherland by her neck

Irresponsibility? Education? Poverty?
All subective suppositions from one
Who knows nothing what it is like
To live in squalor in a fourth even fifth world

When all hope is gone
And her sister violence continues
The subscriptions for death
Solace is found in chemical distribution

A moment of temporary pleasure
Submitting to the incurable she devil
Possessing all she can find
Chewing them up and spitting out the residue

I watch in agony
From my lofty position in the diaspora
As she painfully eats away
At those I have left behind
