Well that was inevitable. Shaun King, or Talcum Xas he has been called by some, is a race hustling con man, but the Black Lives Matter and Antifamobs need to constantly up the ante for press coverage, so I am sure that statues of Jesus and the Blessed Mother will be on their hit list.

Also, I am beginning to agree with John McWhorter that this is a religious movement:

As he said, McWhorter has written about this before. In 2018 he wrote this about the adoration for Ta-Nehisi Coates in certain circles:

Pretending to believe this sort of thing is insincere and insulting. It’s a pat on the head…

We have gone from most whites being unaware that racism was a problem for black people at all to whites being chilled to their bones at the possibility of harboring racism in their souls, terrified at the prospect of being singled out as a heretic, and forgetting that the indulgences they purchase and the praying they do for their souls has more to do with them than with anyone black and their problems.

Here's what's happening:

The black community is angry, and the Marxists in this country are using them, like Iago used Othello, under the pretense that they all want the same thing: a utopia. The black community has been worked into a frenzy by the communists so that they abandon their reason and critical thinking and now BLM activists, along with Antifa, are the communist's berserker drones functioning as the sharp end of the communist's determination of reality. They're frothing at the mouth and being lead to destroy everything "white" (read: everything western in the communists eyes).

Their goals are the same and yet different. The Marxists want to wholly dismantle every vestige of western culture: republicanism, market economies, liberty to determine your own course in life, self-sufficiency, and most importantly the Catholic faith. The only difference for the BLM radicals is they change the word from "western" to "white" but in their eyes everything that makes our nation a success, a force of good in the world, a bastion of righteousness, is a product of "whiteness" and needs to be destroyed along with white people themselves.

Does Mr King realise that Jesus was not white or black he would have looked middle-eastern Also, over the centuries countries have portrayed Jesus in their own cultural image. I remember many years ago I had a penfriend from Sri Lanka and he sent me a Christmas card with an Asiatic Jesus and His Mother portrayed on the card. I did find offence at this as neither would I be offended if I received a card from say Zimbabwe with a black Jesus. I truly despair at the way the world is heading.
