"Sir..." asked Wesley, sitting down in the leather chair in front of his father's desk. David Rhines looked up from behind his spectales.
"Yes, Wes, what is it?" he asked, slightly annoyed. Wesley pulled out a piece of paper and shoved it toward his father, smiling slightly. Reluctantly, David complied and read the paper. As he got deeper and deeping into reading it, his eyes grew wider and wider.
After he finished, he breathed one word.
"No..." Wesley nodded.
"It's true, sir, every last word." David gaped at him.
"But how? This is completely impossible!!" He slammed his fist on the desk, sending his name plate flying across the room, just barely missing Wesely's face.
"Dad, seriously, you need to calm yourself. Our plan isn't completely foiled," assured Wesley, brushing back some of his short, brown hair. David rubbed his forehead with both hands and breathed deeply.
"Okay...okay.." he repeated, as if he was talking to himself. Which he probably was. After he collected himself, David straightened his doctor's suit and smiled.
"Alright, Wesley, commence phase two."
