  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sharing what you're comfortable.

Well... the way I see it, it usually takes 4 years to get a degree, so if it's taking 5 instead of 8 years, you are 3 years ahead of schedule. ;)

Haha, that's true, no one graduates in 4 years anymore.
I have a friend that switched majors and none of his credits transfered so he was 3 semesters behind and it took him 6 years to graduate then he was the intern at my church so he was around for 7 years total before he moved away, he stayed in the same house for 6 years.

Bioengineering - is this DNA/Genetics and stuff or am I in the wrong field? I bet you're excited to be a senior. Will you be able to get a job in your field right away or will you have to go to grad school?

biomedical engineering. so it's more on the medical side of engineering, including things like making prosthetics, designing medical imaging equipment, and tissue engineering to create synthetic tissues and/or organs. I'll probably be able to get a job right away, but I'll probably go on to graduate school to get my master's degree

Where I am employed currently is the first time I've worked with an IS department. Boy do you have your work cut out for you! I'm always on the phone to them, and I don't envy their job whatsoever. I know they are definitely busy. :)

haha, yeah it is actually two majors. The BEM major actually doesn't take much extra work since a lot of the classes would have been required for graduation anyway. But yeah, still a ton of work. :)
