Can we finite, sinful human beings Truly Bring Joy and
Delight to the LORD, the Creator of the Universe?

Yes, and it is Simple though not easy-
Honor HIM,
Obey HIM,
Respond to HIS Love,
Seek HIS Forgiveness,
and Walk Daily with HIM.

Recognizing and requesting God’s grace takes humility,

but harsh words stir up anger.

Answer anger with gentleness.

Luke 6:28-29 . . .
Pray for the happiness of those who curse you.
Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps
you on one cheek, turn the other cheek.
If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also.

Praying for our enemies and doing good for
them will help us learn meekness.

Psalm 37:11 . . .
Those who are gentle and lowly will possess
the land; they will live in prosperous security.

Matthew 5:5 . . .
God blesses those who are gentle and lowly,
for the whole earth will belong to them.

2 Chronicles 7:1 Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house. 2 The priests could not enter into the house of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD'S house.
3 All the sons of Israel, seeing the fire come down and the glory of the LORD upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave praise to the LORD, saying, "Truly He is good, truly His lovingkindness is everlasting."

Have you ever prayed for the Lord to send the fire? This leaped off the page, that it was "when Solomon had finished praying" that "fire came down from heaven". I believe as we spend time in prayer we are candidates for the fire.




And then the glory filled the house.

Ezra 8:21 . . .
I gave orders for all of us to fast
and Humble ourselves before our GOD.
We prayed that HE would give us a
safe journey and protect us, our
children, and our goods as we traveled.

Exodus 33:14-15 . . .
The LORD replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses.
I will give you rest-everything will be fine for you.”
Then Moses said, “If you don’t go with us personally,
don’t let us move a step from this place.”

GOD will Guide us, give us Wisdom and Courage,
and be with us wherever our move takes us-
if only we ask HIM.

Matthew 9:37-38 . . .
HE said to HIS Disciples, “The Harvest is So Great,
but the Workers are So Few. So Pray.”

Pray that GOD will supply enough people
to respond to the opportunities that
become available.

Matthew 26:40-41 . . .
“Couldn’t you stay awake and watch with
me even one hour?
Keep Alert and Pray.
Otherwise temptation will overpower you.
For though the spirit is willing enough,
the body is weak!”

Always be alert and prayerful, in order to
respond properly to every situation.

John 12:35 . . .
JESUS replied, “My light will shine out for you just a
little while longer. Walk in it while you can, so you
will not stumble when the darkness falls.”

Walking in CHRIST’s Light will help
us to be ready for opportunities.

the LORD your GOD.

Joshua 9:18-20 . . .
The leaders replied, “We have sworn an oath in the
presence of the LORD, the GOD of Israel.
We cannot touch them. We must let them live,
for GOD would be angry with us if we broke our oath.”

When we say we will do something,
it is a binding commitment.

Psalm 15:1-3 . . .
Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to slander others or harm their
neighbors or speak evil of their friends.

Our words matter to GOD; only those who speak
rightly can enter HIS Presence.

James 1:26 . . .
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue,
you are just fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.

Our words show what kind of people we really are.

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you showed for His name when you served the saints—and you continue to serve them. 11 Now we want each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the final realization of your hope, 12 so that you won't become lazy, but imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and perseverance.

Don't give up dear friends. Keep pressing in. Be faithful. Be diligent. Lay of hold of that which God has laid hold of you for. The promises are to you, reach out and receive them by faith and perseverance. And keep on loving and serving as you do.

us into his own family by bringing us to himself through
JESUS CHRIST. And this gave HIM Great Pleasure.
So we Praise GOD for the Wonderful Kindness HE has
poured out on us because we belong to HIS Dearly
Loved SON. HE is so Rich in Kindness that HE Purchased
our Freedom through the Blood of HIS SON, and
our sins are Forgiven.

Before GOD made the world HE chose us to be Born
as HIS Unique Creations, Holy and Forgiven.

GOD gives us the Freedom to do what we
think is best, but we will Answer for
Everything we do.

Before you were born I set you apart and appointed
you as my spokesman to the world.

Sometimes GOD may call us to fulfill a
very Specific Ministry. When that happens,
HE will make sure that we know it.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts,
but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. . . .
A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of
helping the entire church.

2 Timothy 4:5 . . .
Complete the Ministry GOD has given you.


GOD has given each of us a Special Ministry
that HE wants us to Perform in the Church
to build up the Body and bring Glory to HIS Name.

Listening keeps us from being

advice and followed his suggestions.

Job 29:21-23 . . .
Everyone listened to me and
valued my advice.

Listening shows that we respect others.
It honors the words of others.
There is something affirming about
feeling that you’ve been listened to.

Proverbs 21:13 . . .
Those who shut their ears to the cries of the
poor will be ignored in their own time of need.

Listening is more than hearing;
it’s a connecting with others.
It helps us know where they are coming from.

Perseverance in good works does
not produce Salvation. Rather,
Perseverance results from our
Faith in GOD.

Patient Endurance leads to Godliness.

The Christian life begins with Faith
but grows through Perseverance.

James 1:2-4 . . .
When your Faith is Tested,
your Endurance has a chance to Grow.

Perseverance is what turns
Suffering into Maturity.
