Refreshing Scriptures:

Judas (not Iscariot) said, "Master, why is it that you are about to make yourself plain to us but not to the world?"

"Because a loveless world," said Jesus, "is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we'll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn't mine. It's the message of the Father who sent me. I'm telling you these things while I'm still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I'm leaving you well and whole. That's my parting gift to you. Peace. I don't leave you the way you're used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don't be upset. Don't be distraught.

I've loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you keep my commands, you'll remain intimately at home in my love. That's what I've done—kept my Father's commands and made myself at home in his love.

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

Love never dies.

Deuteronomy 29:18 . . .
The LORD made this Covenant with you so that no man, woman,

A seed is planted, quietly, without fanfare or drums,
without malice or evil intent-we simply take a step
away from GOD. With the second and third steps,
we move farther from GOD, and the bitter, poisonous
fruit of desire or lust begins to grow.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 . . .
Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers.
How can goodness be a partner with wickedness?
How can light live with darkness?
What harmony can there be between Christ and the Devil?
How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?
And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols?
For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:
“I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

Therefore, come out from them and separate yourselves
from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things,
and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you
will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”


God wants us to have a covenant love relationship with him.
To have it, we must obey him, accept Jesus Christ as Savior,
and live godly lives on earth. By doing this, we set ourselves
apart as being different from those who don’t know the Lord.
Some people will want to know what makes us different, and
we will be able to tell them about the love of God and our
future with him in eternity.

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a
godly life in CHRIST JESUS will suffer
Persecution.

Living a godly life brings us into conflict
with the evil that is in the world.

Matthew 24:9 . . .
“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed.
You will be hated all over the world because of
your Allegiance to ME.”

Devotion to JESUS brings opposition
and persecution from those who do
not want to Believe the Good News.

1 Peter 4:15 . . .
If you suffer, however, it must not be
for murder, stealing, making trouble,
or prying into other people’s affairs.

Sometimes we think we are being persecuted
for doing what is right, but in fact we have
earned the persecution that we are experiencing.

forgiving one another, just as God
through Christ has forgiven you.

We should be kind because God has
been kind to us and commands us
to be kind to others.

We are kind because we
want others to be kind to us.

“Why are you being so kind to me?”

I also know about the love and

Kindness is never lost; it keeps on going from
person to person until it returns to you.

Rejoice when you find Integrity there. You know
I have done all this with Good Motives, and
I have watched Your people offer their Gifts

Integrity pleases GOD, for it is godly.

Psalm 15:1-5 . . .
Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD?
Who may enter your presence on Your Holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from Sincere Hearts.
Those who refuse to slander others or
harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
Those who despise persistent sinners, and honor the
faithful followers of the LORD and keep their promises
even when it hurts.
Those who do not charge interest on the money
they lend, and who refuse to accept bribes to
testify against the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.

Our Integrity and our Relationship with
GOD are interdependent.
We cannot have either without the other.

Proverbs 12:3 . . .
Wickedness never brings stability;
only the godly have deep roots.

Proverbs 10:9 . . .
People with integrity have firm footing,
but those who follow crooked paths will
slip and fall.

Numbers 21:6The LORD sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. 7 So the people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and you; intercede with the LORD, that He may remove the serpents from us." 8 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live."
9 And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.



Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus is portrayed as a bronze serpent. Bronze - the metal symbolizing suffering. A serpent - sin. Jesus became sin for us, suffering our penalty, bearing our sickness and disease. If healed under the old covenant by looking at a mere type and shadow, how much more will our Risen Savior heal and forgive us under the new covenant?

Serve the LORD with Reverent Fear,
and Rejoice with Trembling.

Because GOD is So Great and Mighty,
and because HE holds the Power of Life
and Death in HIS Hands, we must have
a Healthy, Reverent Fear of HIM.
A healthy fear helps us keep our
Perspective about where we need to
be in our Relationship with GOD.

2 Corinthians 7:1 . . .
Let us work toward Complete Purity
because we Fear GOD.

A Healthy Fear of GOD Motivates
us to Strive for Holiness.

Deuteronomy 31:7-8 . . .
Be Strong and Courageous! . . .
Do not be afraid or discouraged,
for the LORD is the One who goes before you.

Fear can be good if it teaches us about Courage.
Joshua couldn’t have truly understood Courage
if he hadn’t experienced Fear. Fear gave him
Courageous Character and taught him to Rely
on and Trust in GOD.

Who can list the Glorious Miracles of the LORD?
Who can ever Praise HIM half enough?


Consider how Great GOD is-the Awesome
Creator of the Universe. Then consider
how sinful and mortal we are. Then
consider how Great is GOD’s Love for us.
How can we help but Praise HIM?
