For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake, he will save it.
For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?
For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

I needed to hear that today.

"Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."--Ps 37:3-5

Isn't it amazing how God can use someone do give you a verse that you (or I) need to hear at just the right time?

God will be there for us when our times
On the earth ends as well as
We won't ever be alone in and with Him.
Even when our deathbeds are coming
God has prepared a place for us in heaven!

Jesus is the Word of God. He is God and, therefore, eternal. He has been with us from the beginning of creation...before there was a written Word, before men copied manuscipts, before there were printing presses.
This Word became Flesh and dwelt among us. Now that is the greatest gift and miracle there can ever be. That God so loved us to send His Own Son to live and die...for US. Awesome!

Psalms 23:1-6 (KJV)

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

The Lord is my Jehovah Jireh, He shall provide all my daily needs, whether by providing work or opportunity, He is with me daily, just as the shepherd tends his sheep, He so tends me.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside
the still waters.
He wants me to take time when things are well to stop and reflect on Him, to lie down in green pastures; He doesn't want us to not think of Him even when there is no storm, thus He leads us BY the still waters. We should not just look to Him when it is stormy or choppy.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
It is because of Him and His allowing His Son to be sacrificed for my sin that I am even allowed access to Him the Father, He restored me and takes me down the righteous path.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.

During the darkest times, He is with me and comforts me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Even when some are against me, if I am with Him, in His will doing His bidding, He will be sure that I persevere or prevail.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Praise God I will be with Him and live with Him forever and eternally.

Thank you for doing this, I have just discovered the joys of taking a scripture one verse at a time and breaking it down to get the most out of it, rather than all at once.
