Jonas,

I have a question for you. Why do you come here? This is a forum for Calvinists and Reformed Christians (most of whom you clearly believe are going to hell). The link you gave has an article titled "Why We No Longer Call Ourselves "Reformed" or "Calvinists"."

Since you don't Consider yourself a Calvinist and you believe that Calvin, if he did not have a death bed repentance of his view that non-Calvinist can be saved, must not have been saved, should you not be like all other non-Calvinists and only be allowed to ask questions and not debate?

I wonder what our mods think?

In the article we find the following statements:
"with some new information we have found, the label "Calvinist" is actually not even consistent with a belief in the doctrines of grace."

"The name "Reformed" comes from the "Protestant Reformation" and the "Reformers" who led it... means "to improve by change." The "Reformation" sought to improve the Roman Catholic harlot Church, to correct it, to modify it, to alter it - to reform it. This is absolutely contradictory to what God commands in His Word."

"Today, we have people who are advocating for a "modern reformation." What this means to most is that the "church" of today...is in need of a "reformation" like in the days of Luther and Calvin... their supposed "Reformation" is just an attempt to make unregenerate Arminians into unregenerate Calvinists."

"The "Five Points of Calvinism" were formulated in response to the "Five Points of Arminianism," named after James Arminius. Therein lies one of the problems. To counter the doctrines of a man and his followers, the coiners of the name "Calvinism" used a name that implies the very same thing as "Arminianism," which is that the doctrines were of a man and his followers."

"The tolerant "Calvinists" can go on bickering with their brothers in Satan, the "Arminians," all the while embracing them as brothers in Christ..." (They say that Calvinists are of Satan.)

"We have recently found out that Calvin did not even believe all of the doctrines of grace. In fact, he did not believe the very heart of the gospel..." (You see Calvin was, by their definition, a tolerant Calvinist and therefore not saved.)

THey also list many "Calvinists" that the use to think to be Christians ((which they once believed of Calvin) but they have determined that they are not. Here is some of the non-Christian Calvinists "Gordon Clark, John Robbins, A.W. Pink, Herman Hoeksema, The Protestant Reformed Church."

The article above refers to the great Princeton Calvinistic theologian A.A. Hodge as "the God-hater A.A. Hodge."

I found the article interesting and sad. These folks are far from the Reformed faith (which they readly admit), and the Gospel. I doubt that they have any understanding of the the true meaning of the word Grace.

Coram Deo,
Kenith

Kenith,

Once again I got the dreaded message:
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Cajun Huguenot again.
You said, quite eloquently, what I was wondering.
Thanks.

I'm a deacon at Bethel Presbyterian Church (PCA) (the site is bare bones because the former pastor kept it up and he is gone). Me and my family has moved several miles down the road and we are now closer to Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA). We are near neighbours with the pastor of Covenant and will likely move our membership to Covenant once Bethel has a pastor (the pastor of Sulphur is preaching at both churches until further notice).

In Christ,
Kenith

We're a four-point church. Most of our pastors have been trained at Dallas Theological Seminary. Thought I'd post it anyway.
