• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

My AA home group is called Art of Living, we are a Big Book and step meeting. We pick a topic one week from the big book and the next week we read and choose one of the steps for the topic. We only meet once a week. Since I live in a rural community we travel to other towns close by for the meetings on other nights of the week. I also take an AA meeting into the state prison once a week. In the district I am the alt-DCM and at the area level I an co-chair of Bridge the Gap committee.

One of the best meetings I attend is at the state prison. The group is called Up Front and they meet twice a week. Myself, my sponsor and another fellow AA facilitate the meeting. Two weeks ago we had 167 in attendance........it was awesome........jerry ralph

It's Sunday!!!! I'm getting ready to head out for another meeting, this time to worship almighty God the creator of the universe. I attend a non-denominational church. We have many people who are in recovery that worship there also.......Anyone else going to church this morning??

Thanks Angel Dove1........What a great sunday this has been. My pastor preached on mentoring this morning and this evening he spoke of the gifts of the Sprit. this afternoon I rode my Harley for 70 miles in the sorta-spring-time weather we are having. Its been a cold winter here in Missouri.........thanks for your response. I some times wonder if anyone else on this forum (substance abuse) goes to meetings or church................jerry ralph
