Shaking off the snake sermon

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. - Acts 28

There are snakes that come out of the fire in life to bite us! (not intended to be a snake handling sermon )

 

[Jesus is my Superhero]

In Paul's situation I tend to think more along the lines of Psalm 91. Paul wasn't putting Jesus, ( or God), to a test but was dealing with something that naturally happened in his life. Kind of like other believers not being affected by plagues, etc.
