Hey Shadow! Everyone!
Guess what? I was on here a week or two ago, telling you all how I had jury duty, right? Well, I got a phone call Saturday morning telling me that I didn't have to go in! The case had been settled out of court!
Is that an answer to prayer, or what? I think so! I was SO grateful, because with every passing day I was dreading it more and more!
I just hope that's the end to my jury summons, I think that after June 1st my time is up, so I don't think they really have time to call me again. I hope I'm right!

I think I've worked out why it is: it's cos people interact with each other here, something like at The Inner Room tho different (and lacking in some other threads... shhh! I didn't say that, okay! *smiles bashfully, tries to polish halo - fails!*)

Maybe I'm silly but I reckon we gotta relate with each other or we've kinda stopped being truly human. Anyway, I've just decided that I am gonna continue to 'lurk' regularly in this VERY Comfy Cafe, for as long as people and Shadowcat will have me!!! *goes into lurking mode; feels kind of 'squishy' and comfortable inside!*



*speaks quietly so as not to disturb other esteemed customers* I would actually like a fresh hot tasty donut and maybe a fresh orange drink as well - but only if this is okay with 'the Management'! hehe

I really like this thread!!! You've done something special here, Rebecca! I think I've worked out why it is: it's cos people interact with each other here, something like at The Inner Room tho different (and lacking in some other threads... shhh! I didn't say that, okay! *smiles bashfully, tries to polish halo - fails!*)

As for job hunting, well to be honest BM I'm struggling to even get started. I guess it's because I know what it consists of and my self esteem tends to plummet. I also struggle with the fact that most of my jobs have been through temp work where I've been given the chance to prove I can do the job. Unfortunately this isn't the case with interviews; usually the answer is that I'm unsuccessful or no response at all. I just wish there was an employer (without being through an agency) out there who would give me a chance - I know they wouldn't be disappointed.
