Should you follow your faith and claim and fight against your interests for what society claims is normal, or do you think it is alright to be gay or bisexual?

Umm, you present those as if they are opposites. I follow my faith and fight for what has been shown true in my life--that it is perfectly alrgiht to be GLBT(IQA...LMNOP)

I'm not saying it's right, but we don't have any other choice but to live with it, and there is nothing we can do to change the fact we are bi/gay, so we HAVE to live with it and hope Jesus forgives us, which he does.

Ah. Well then, I guess the point we disagree on is that I don't think that there is anything sinful about the STATE of being homosexual. Every sin is an act.

Most people debate based on logic. Even dogmatic Christians tend to use facts to back up what they believe.

And the belief that something must cause harm to be wrong is a fact, while, oh say, the existence of natural law is not a fact?

It's the zeitgeist that rules the day, not logic.

That's specifically what I'm trying to point out. Homosexuality and Bisexuality isn't anything we can actually change, and thus we must live with it and hope we are forgiven.

I guess what I'm wanting to know is what do you think a homo/bisexual person should do? Pretend to be straight to follow faith, which seems very unlawful, or to just do their thing based on who they are sexually attracted to, and seek forgiveness from God, who made us this way and loves us for that.

Ideally, learn, sincerely and honestly, that who they are is not sinful. It is certainly possible to live openly as a sexually moral homosexual person.

Lacking that I think it is wrong (not to mention really dangerous) for a person to live in a way they believe is sinful, so if a person cannot come to believe that their sexuality is not sinful, it would be better for them to be celibate. I find it sad that people are driven that way, but it is better than the alternative.

I have to live with being Heterosexual in that case and hope that I am forgiven as I am just as much of a sinner sexually as a Homosexual or bisexual (though at times I wonder If Id be Bisexual ).

Since sexual orientation is not something that can be changed…why would there be a need for forgivness?

I have often been confused with those attacking gays and lesbians indicate that it is appropriate to lie and hide their sexual oriention. When I ask those advocating this for clarification and an explanation as to why it is better for gays and lesbians to lie than to be honest… the silence is deafening
