Seventh Day Adventist Logo Usage

Well--to be honest--if one reads it from left to bottom to right--it spells SAD! Not good!

I personally think that is a good change and one that should be done.

What about an SDA above an open book silhoette? For the little logo in our profiles, I mean. Also, keep in mind we don't need to have it even saying our name..just an image that represents us.

Lets start brainstorming some ideas, and I'll see what I can create.

Also, for the foru.ms logo competition I had entered one with a globe in it. I still have the globe. I'm wondering about creating a variation of the 3 angels thing? If it's done from scratch, I don't think it could violate anything..just to have 3 angels and a globe..

I don't think there would be any problem with it if you made your own images.

I believe one reason for this is to avoid any confusion with the LDS church. Understandable.

I think that's probably true, also. However, someone who'd confuse SDA with LDS would probably also confuse Seventh-day Adventist with Latter-day Saint. It's just part of the problem with one whose thoughts tend to be in letters and/or words.

True, but in my mind "Adventist" wouldn't be easily confused with either "Latter-day Saint" or "LDS" or "Morman". Then again, with an Adventist background I don't imagine I can speak for the general public.

I was involved in a discussion on the Trinity at the Amazing discovery discussion Forums and three days after the discussion ended they pulled the whole forum.

Same thing happened at the OSU Christian Club 7 or 8 years ago subsequent to a discussion on Church Authority. I know there have been several forums pulled that were directly attached to SDA groups however I do not believe they will be able to pull this one down. I also don't believe they could stop people from using another trademark like the 3 angles. Good luck.
