All people sin unless God intervenes in their life to help them to overcome their sin. Nobody can stop sinning without the Lord.

...
Um, how does that relate to my answer to your question?

...
Or, nobody sins without the Lord.

That is to say that that sin only exists if your god does.

Likely you have identified sins that bug you, and you managed that without
giving the Father any credit. On what basis does your condemnation exist? Yours?

That's 80 years round trip....if you are an electron or radio wave.

Which of the seven planets shall we visit first?

If we do travel light speed time will "go faster" around us and make the trip even longer.

No. What I am saying is that sin only really exists as a consequence of being created by God.

If god does not exist then neither does sin.

So you can only have sin if you have god.

No God, no sin.

Lucky for me I don't believe in god so I don't have to worry about sin.

I do not need to worry about what I will say because it is not going to happen.

The Scriptures says,
"In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the EARTH." (Genesis 1:1).

...

Right, which is why Mars doesn't exist.

I'm sure you have some rules about right and wrong.
on what basis do you expect others to listen to and
obey your rules?

Ideed I do have some rules in my head about what it is good for me to do and what is counter productive.

I make no insistence that anyone else live by these rules, though.

What I'm saying is that doing something bad also having a supernatural consequence (beyond the normal negative consequences of doing bad things to people) is a decision made by god.

He could have not created the supernatural consequence of doing bad things.

So not believing in God I have no reason to suspect that there is a supernatural consequence of bad deeds.

Bad deeds exist for me, but sin does not.

Life's good.

Then you have internalized God's rules for yourself.
God only asks that you do that. Not doing that
lands one in prison, if lucky.
You are correct that "sin" only begins after one recognizes
that there is law. Which you already have identified.
For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.

I've not internalised God's rules.

For example I think it is perfectly okay to pick up sticks on the Sabbath, men to wear dresses, believe in any god one chooses, to bear false witness when necessary but not okay to strike children.

So, many of god's rules can take a hike.

My point is I'm not following god's rules: I made my own up.

God has no rules. Rule following has been replaced.
You must make up your own rules and follow them.
For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.
------> Mathew 7: 12

"Do unto others"
means you must follow your rules
becasue you believe in them.

"As you would have them do unto you"
means you have made up rules about
behavior and you ought to treat other
by those rules.
For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.

So you are following scripture to a T.

I'm heartened to hear that Scripture agrees with me.

I don't think "clicking one's pen during lecture" is a sin, but it does annoy me. I certainly wouldn't condemn someone for it. Heck, depending on the context, I could just as easily condone killing someone as condemn it. However, certain "sins" as outlined in the bible are entirely cultural. For example, the sin of adultery; there are some cultures in which marriage does not exist, but, hey, they still have kids. And no one in that culture condemns each other for "sleeping around" because it is the norm to them.

It has no connection to culture.

For one, it has to do with the death of the entire village
if they all share body fluids. Can they cheat the disease
roulette wheel? Sure...for a few decades, maybe.

But it really has to do with mental health. Again, you can
beat the odds, for a time.

All sins can avoid death, for a while.
But the wages of sin is death, just surely.

Assuming it's true (like NASA isn't lying to deceive us or trying to get our hopes up or anything), and assuming they could be habitable, I'd hope that faster-than-light travel could exist soon. The fact that there's seven Earth-like ones in one system is pretty awesome.

Although since they're much closer to their star it has me wonder if life (let alone us humans) could live on them without frying our eyeballs. They can't be sure if they're Earth-like enough yet aside from size and distance.

Life adapts. All these planets need is the building blocks of life. The most important thing is water though. If those three in the habitable zone have oceans we could be looking at the possibility of life.
