I completely agree with you on this point. IMO, atheists tend to have higher morals and are more charitable and accepting in their behavior.
Sorry. Jesus says "this generation" and he does not single out the pharisees alone here. Jesus says, "The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here." (Matthew 12:41).

Do you have a link?We are not agreement. I believe atheists are not morally superior to faithful believers. That is just totally false for you to even say such a thing.
In fact, I seen an atheist in another thread just recently make an unloving remark in regards to the death of a young mother.

Read a few verses earlier, and you will find that it was the scribes and Pharisees he was addressing himself to. He did not mean that everybody then alive was asking for a "sign" as an excuse for not believing.
Do you have a link?
I can field that one (as an atheist I think I have the inside track on what an atheist might think) for you.that asks atheists movitations as to why they talk on Christian forums.

I come here to ensure that I do not exist within a social media bubble populated only by people who believe as I do.
This site is a cornucopia of ideas that I would not normally be exposed to: including but not limited to Climate change denial, flat Earthers, misogyny, gun nuttery, perpetual motion devices, racism, birthers, warp drives, homophobia, ToE denial, cdesign proponentists, anti abortionist, demons causing autism, demons causing autism, the end is nigh and toilet terror.
It's a fascinating place, yes sir!
Peter says believers (i.e. true believers) are a chosen "generation", a royal priesthood, an holy nation, and a peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9).
All of which should tell you that the Greek word genera has a broader meaning than the English word generation has today. It can mean something like "group" or "people".
Anyway, who exactly are "true belevers"? Anybody who agrees with you, because you are the ultimate measure of what it means to be a Christian?
Not my problem or job to figure out who's a "True Christian." All I can do is take them at their word.As I said before, I do not believe all self professing believers are right with God. Jesus says narrow is the way that leads unto life and FEW be there that find it. So it is not looking at the wide gate group of believers to prove your case here. We are talking about those FEW believers who are faithful to God and who are loving and good.

I did... the day I realized that "sin" is a not really a thing.Nobody can stop sinning without the Lord.
Good day to you.
And may God bless you.
Moving on.

Hitchslap said:And the fact that I do not, or have ever, condoned slavery, makes my morality higher than the god of the OT - by default.

So you don't think you can do wrong (Which is the essence of what sin is)?
This is where you might want to dial back telling others what they believe. So you don't think you can do wrong (Which is the essence of what sin is)?

I'm always amazed at how many "Christians" don't read their bible. So you believe (or take the word) of everything a Christians says as true then? If that is the case, then you should go by what their holy book (The Bible) says. Their holy book says that narrow is the way that leads to life and FEW be there that find it. Surely even life teaches us that not all people in every profession is genuine or good. There are doctors out their who are unfit to practice medicine because they are fakes. There are people who have appeared as a police men and yet they were fakes. But if they say to you they are one, you are just going to go by their word? Okay.
Biblical slavery is not like traditional slavery. People sold themselves into slavery in Biblical times to pay off debts or the Israelite's would buy slaves from another culture only to set them free later in 7 years. Slavery is not something God had written in His Word like... "Thou shall take slaves and put them under your hand all the days of their life." The Bible does not say that. However, that is what your definition of slavery suggests by the little use of words that you have given. It leads the reader to have the wrong conclusion (and it does not lead them to the truth of God's Word on the matter).
Clearly God condemned the slavery of the Israelites by the hand of Pharoah; And God is not two faced.
We also have to realize that Biblical slavery was not about some master sitting in a throne like chair all day while his slaves served him whatever he desired whereby he would whip or beat them into oblivion if they did not do the task as perfectly desired. Masters also worked hard, too. Jesus said the greatest among you is he who serves. Jesus suffered many things and was crucified. We are told told to follow His example.
As for the justice involved in regards to the mistreatment of slaves (temporary servants) mentioned in Exodus 21:20-21:
