I read the line in the original post that people should be proud of their ignorance.

Why would anyone be proud of being ignorant?

Ignorance is a terrible disadvantage.
Ignorance is easily tricked.
Ignorance is easily misled.
Ignorance is often mean and selfish and lazy.

All I ask is evidence to support the claims. That's not unreasonable, is it?

Isn't the testimony of men evidence enough that what GOD did then by pouring out HIS SPIRIT upon men, HE continues to do today so that in every generation and at all times there will always be witnesses testifying to THE TRUTH of THE GOSPEL?

Do you think its men who preach the GOSPEL who are deceived?

In Europe people keep their religious beliefs mostly to themselves. I've never met a "street" preacher over here.
