My pastor would answer those kinds of questions with:

"We'll find out when we get to Heaven, if God so chooses to tell us."

To answer your question though, I would guess and say they would think I'm goofy ... but they already think that.

That's the same answer I got when I asked where all the collection plate money was going.

Exactly

Concern yourself with the hidden agenda of your OWN heart

That's what will be laid bare on that day and you won't be able to point and say "what about him"

Isn't his sin greater than mine?"

It depends on how the finances are structured.

In our church, the GENERAL FUND goes to paying the church's bills, salaries, and maintenance; the MISSIONS FUND goes to supporting almost 100 missionaries with at least $45.00 per month; other than that, offerings can be marked for specific targets: reimbursement for gasoline, donations marked IN MEMORY OF ...; a specific missionary; whatever.

Frances Kelsey didn't.

Do you accept the science behind eugenics?

(Here comes a paragraph with a vague answer in it that can be taken six different ways.)

No I dont as the evidence dont support it. You can always check the evidence for yourself in science.

Really, you should know better.

Yeah I know
I didn't expect you to be ashamed

Do you feel ashamed when you eat a ham sandwich, because it's against the rules of both Judaism and Islam? Of course not, because you have no reason to feel ashamed for bnreaking laws that are from a faith you don't follow.

So why do you expect me to be different?

(Is this really a difficult concept for you?)

And all because of the discussions he's had with you?

Has he changed his mind about what his flight manual says because of a conversation he's had with some stewardess?

lol, that's funny.

When it comes to reality instead of just planes, science is much closer to being a flight manual than the Bible is.

Show me evidence that this actually happened in reality, and I'll change my tune accordingly.

(Funnily enough, you rarely hear that claim from religious folks, I wonder why...)

BTW, he's a mechanic on the planes, not a pilot (although he does have his wings).

That's because science is myopic.

There is no evidence that actually happened.

It was a miracle.

Instead, this happened:

Um ... that was a picture of a local flood ... not a global one.

It was a miracle.

So, in a discussion about how my husband is willing to change his mind when given good evidence to do so, you ask if it is like that picture of the flood - despite the fact that you claim the flood has no evidence whatsoever.

Do you even know what evolution is?

Instead, this happened:

universality-of-the-genesis-flood.jpg

Fine. Show me evidence that that happened, and I'll still change my views.

Um ... that was a picture of a local flood ... not a global one.

I mean the claim that they will change their views when given evidence that their viewpoint is wrong.

No i dont
However if I am eating with one who follows these rules and according to their traditions I know this is an offense to them I won't eat a ham sandwich
