LOL! Did you watch the video Deacon? :D

To be honest, no.

Anytime a thread starts with "Why I believe the KJV"...

It ends the same.

God Bless

Just a thought...
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
The Word is Christ Emanuel God with us.
His words were written down as He spoke them.
I wonder if God using His own unique phraselogy, in order to speak the common language of All men, creates confusion among translations ?
God's grammar. Is perfect, but man's understanding and correction must be incorrect to a point.
If Christ said somthing He was speaking in another tongue than that of the Heaven's .
It would be perfectly spoken in the dialect of the people He was Speaking to.
We do not speak perfect English But God does.
So to say whether or not somthing is not translated well, is a misnomer.
It is translated good enough for our understanding, but when we run off into conclude somthing is a bad translation , we must realize the Words were given in prefection.
Given in prefection to the Samaritan ,Jew or Greek who gave it for other translations in years to come.
One thing about the King James, it was proper English with unique phraseology.
It was many Translaters working on the same project.
Versed in Chaldean, Hebrew , Greek and off shoots of other languages.
No matter how much we know Gods spoken Word is perfection.

My study into "Textual Criticism" has led me to also study Westcott and Hort.

In some ways, their work is good and in some ways its bad.

God Bless

Thank goodness for E.C. Colwell.

No matter how much we know Gods spoken Word is perfection.

But you miss the whole point brother.

Nobody here, leastwise me, would argue that God's word is not perfect.

However, we do not have, as you put it: "Gods spoken Word".

The words spoken to the Apostles, by the Holy Spirit were lost to history shortly after the last Apostle died.

All we have is copies of copies of copies.

Of the 5300 Greek MSS, I would ask you to tell me which one, which translator, had the absolute as close to perfect translation.

And it has been shown by me previously, in other threads in this area, how the translators of the "Authorized Version", actually made very little use of the materials they had.

Their primary guide was the "Bishops Bible" and they were not allowed to vary from it unless it was special circumstances.

And here again, it is a provable fact that the Gospels were written after the book of Acts. Mark being the earliest. Probably around AD 65. We know this for a fact in Luke's usage of the Greek word "pneuma".

Following his usage, the Gospels, Mark, Matthew, and John, followed his usage.

But, before this turns into a debate, I'll unsubscribe, or unwatch.

But before I go, I'll say it once again, I believe the KJV, but only as far as it is accurate to the Greek MSS.

God Bless

Till all are one.

What parts are "bad"?

Do you know who Madame Blavatsky was?

No debate here, I can only conclude that our understanding comes by the Spirit indwelling our Spirit.
The Holy Spirit brings us to the knowlage of truth.

So why limit that "knowledge of truth" to the KJV only?

Yet that is so apparent here lately.

God Bless
