  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I'm still a virgin.

I don't understand when people say it is hard either. If you want to honor God and keep your focus on Him it is not hard at all.

Sex is something wonderful and intimate thing between husband and wife and is not supposed to be thrown away on the first person you find.

I'm a virgin, but it definitely isn't all that easy for me! I'm very much looking forward to having sex, and I love kissing my bf. I always wish we could do more. We both have to be careful to remember our boundaries so we don't get carried away, but sometimes it isn't easy to hold ourselves to that.

I am one but really only by technicalities...which to me means I might as well not be one...I mean really, how many of us can say we're TRULY virgins? I really only learned about a year ago that being a virgin and being pure is more than just not having sex...I know SO many ppl who are virgins but constantly push the envelope to see how far they can go without having sex...I know, because that used to be me. NOW, its more about preserving something precious and sacred for marriage...eaiser said than done, though.

Still a virgin, and plan on staying that way till I'm married. A good way to stay away from temptations is to avoid situations where you might be tempted (eg. a lot of time alone together), staying in the Word and praying, ect. It's not always easy, but it's possible.

Well, me and my BF just got together, but I'm a virgin... and I am finding it very easy to stay one (as is he) yet those around us (I though am surrounded by atheists) tell me its insanely hard to stay one- and, if we were to ever get married, that would be 8 years down the track, and people are shocked that we'd be willing to stay virgins for so long!

I honestly don't know why.

Its the minimum most likely. We'd need to be able to support ourselves. We both are very smart and plan to obtain doctrites (Mine in classics, his in philosophy) so, you know, we'd be dirt poor. After our masters we'd have more jobs open to us to do while doing our PhD in lectures and what not, so if we wanted, we could get married and be able to support ourselves.

Just be careful. You can't really plan what is going to happen 8 years down the road. You will change a TON between now and then, and there is going to be no way that you can know that that is how your life is going to be. Just be careful and make sure you leave yourselves open to where God is gonna lead you.
