Yeah you are right, I shouldn't have said soda. It's a chocolate flavored drink. To be honest I haven't had one myself since the wee days of my youth. It's just a fond memory that I wouldn't want to chance ruining by drinking one today. It might destroy one of the icons of my youth!The Lord is my banner said:Chocolate soda? As I was driving while working, it seems God saw that I was depressed. So what does God do? Have an encouraging song play over the radio? Part the clouds in the sky? Nope... He played a pratical joke
God must have noticed that I have a habit of shaking up my Yoo-hoo between each drink, so He decided to make my mind go completely blank for about five seconds. As I violently slung the Yoo-hoo to the top of the bottle for a quick shake, I noticed a weird sound... then I noticed my pants were slightly wet... I looked at the seat next to me only to find it covered in the chocolate drink... I looked down to notice that I hadn't put the cap back on.Half of my Yoo-hoo ended up all over the inside of the cab of the truck and on me. This is about the time that I'd normally start cussing, or at the very least, hold back a strong temptation to cuss. But no, I just couldn't help but start laughing. I pulled over on the side of the road and started cleaning up the Yoo-hoo, all the time laughing and praising God.
Aah yes the temptation to cuss...I know it well. It seems God knows how to remind us to not take ourselves too seriously. I appreciate your sharing. I will keep it in mind next time I'm tempted to slip into the Donald Duck mode.
