I have written a few stories over the past year and want to send some of them away for possible publication. I took a Creative Writing class last semester, but it didn't seem to help. So I would like to ask you, as Christians and friends, to take a look at the story I am thinking of sending out and give me your thoughts on it. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will look at it if you want, but you should know that my genre of interest is contemporary fiction, so if you write in sci-fi or fantasy, what I have to say might not be as helpful, but I would still be willing to read.

I'd be happy to, and if it's a sci-fi or fantasy, I know a lot about publishing in that market--I read up on it a TON, but my first manuscript simply wasn't good enough--it stunk
