Sending atheists to Hell is Evil

I'm an atheist, and according to the bible I am going to Hell.

Why would God torture me for all eternity for something I have no control over?

I learned what I learned. I was raised the way I was raised. When I was young, I opened my heart to God, but he couldn't be bothered showing up.

I don't believe in God. That's the way it is. I could lie and say I do, but God is all knowing, so he would know I don't believe.

In the end, God is responsible for the fact that I don't believe.

Torturing me for eternity, because of something He failed to do, is Evil.

I am as concerned about hell as I am about getting a lump of coal in my stocking from Santa on Christmas.

However, the apologetics that inevitable follow posts such as these can be entertaining.

Well, I don't know God doesn't exist. Obviously if he does, he hadn't realized how evil he was being. As he is omniscient, this will hopefully make him think about it.

If he isn't evil, I expect him to inspire a believer on this forum to put forth an argument that I find undeniable, thus allowing me to believe in him.

Well, what would be the benefit of being a Christian, if non believers didn't go to hell?

You think the men that wrote the story didn't use that as motivation, to get people to follow along?

He'll is an invention of the shamans who had nothing better to threaten people with. There is life and there is death. Life eternal is optional.

It's in the bible:

Revelation 21:8

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Matthew 25:46

"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Apparently I'm getting sent there as well, and it's God's fault for not revealing himself to me. I think that is pretty evil of God. If he exists, I hope he reads this and thinks twice about it.

By that time, God will have been revealed.

That last part is better translated: "Then they will go away into aion long pruning chastisement, but the righteous in to the aion of Life. They are different time-spaces with very different atomic properties.

We are currently in region that forms the lightest type of centraly positive, externaly negative atoms (matter). There are 3 density levels of matter and also 3 levels of centraly negative, externally positive atomic formation aka anti-matter.

According to Revelation, it doesn't matter what you believe, it matters what you have done.

Rev 22:12 "Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done."

Revelation 21:8 specifically states "the unbelieving" will go to Hell.

How can I believe if God refuses to reveal himself to me?

AFAIK, the bible is God's word. I know that's what many Christians, all of whom have a personal relationship with God, claim. So there is no "better" translation. Or is God lying to them?

God is sending me to Hell for something he refuses to do.

To some, God reveals Himself in one of His secret identities - Love, Life, Truth. If you follow those in the best conscience you are following God. He will judge you accordingly.

But that is not what God himself says. As I quoted from Revelations, unbelievers are going to Hell.

The bible is a 5x8 stack of wood pulp and ink marks. The Word of God spoken at the beginning creates infinite universes in it's wake and it is still traveling, fulfilling them all. The bible is a map, all books are. Do not mistake the map for the territory, and those who know the territory by heart do not need maps. You are infact half the territory. Know Thyself.

I tell you the truth, when you stand completely transparent before the Light of God, you will judge yourself accurately and accordingly and there is no escape from your own judgement, save for the Mercy and Compassion of God. Those who open up in self admittance and love of judgment (correction) will rise into the aeon of life. Those who close down and rankle against Truth will natural, electromagnetically be shunted back downwards into the lower 3 universal realms of incarnation. We are currently in the lightest/highest of the lower 3.

Simple electro-organic universal process. If you live as a parasite or polluter of the universe, it will deal with you accordingly. If you are simply a red blood cell that brings inspiration to other cells you will be kept/protected/regenerated by the body. There are many other cells and larger organs of beings all co-operating together as the growing, intelligence gathering universe.

Why do you claim you have no control over your actions?

When I was young, I opened my heart to God

Which means...what, exactly?

Torturing me for eternity, because of something He failed to do, is Evil.

God isn't going to send you to Hell for what He failed to do, but for what you have willingly and repeatedly done.

Torturing me for eternity, because of something He failed to do, is Evil.

Define evil, tell us why you believe evil is bad, and tell us what you believe our response to evil should be.

The way you post seems to suggest you not truly an unbeliever. You speak of God as if He's just waiting to send you to hell. Like He's really real and wants to do this. You treat the bible as if it is literally the Word of God.

Me? I really don't care what the bible has to say. It is only the work of men and I have no way of knowing for sure if God or Jesus said or did any of the things the bible claims they did.

As Davian said, "I'm about as concerned about going to hell as I am getting a lump of coal for Christmas."

The claims of the bible and Christianity just don't sway me in any direction and the actions of many Christians certainly sway me away from their religion.

Why do you claim you have no control over your actions?

Obviously not when it comes to what I sincerely believe.

Could you make yourself believe there is a pink unicorn orbiting the earth, and that rainfall is actually this pink unicorn peeing?

Which means...what, exactly?

I was a christian in my childhood.

What the heck have I done? I've used the brain God apparently gave me, and it tells me there is no such thing as God.

If he exists, it's up to God to reveal himself to me, just like he has for so many others.

Your first sentence implies the bible isn't the word of God, just "wood pulp and ink marks". Yet the next sentence implies the bible contains the word of God at the beginning.

What mechanism do you use to differentiate between what is the word of god, and what isn't?

I didn't ask you about your beliefs. I asked why you believe you're not responsible for your actions. Your actions, not your beliefs.

I was a christian in my childhood.

No. You said you "opened your heart to God". I asked you what "opened your heart to God" means.

What the heck have I done?

You've sinned, just like the rest of us.

I've used the brain God apparently gave me, and it tells me there is no such thing as God.

I see. Do you have a conscience? Does your conscience tell you when you've done something wrong?

If he exists, it's up to God to reveal himself to me, just like he has for so many others.

I didn't ask who's responsibility it is to reveal themselves to whom. I asked you to define evil, tell us why you believe evil is bad, and tell us what you believe our response to evil should be.

I honestly don't know if he exists or not. I do think that if he does exist, he is being very unfair in regards to torturing me for all eternity for something I am faultless in. Actually I think it is evil.

You speak of God as if He's just waiting to send you to hell. Like He's really real and wants to do this. You treat the bible as if it is literally the Word of God.

The bible says God is waiting to send me to hell.

And many Christians on this site have a close personal relationship with God. And they say the bible is the word of God.

Do they have a relationship with God and he is lying to them? Or are they delusional? Or....
