Bunk! WV's senator just doesn't represent that state but makes policies that affect me. I don't think so.

That's for WV to decide, not you. If they think he's too old, then let democracy work and vote him out. Lots of senators from other states help decide policy that affects me, I have to deal with it and just keep voting for my senators who I think should represent me. I sure as hell don't want someone from some other state telling me h ow I should vote.

What voter doesn't care that their politician is losing their mind???

I most definitely would, but it's not my place to tell who people can and can't vote for. If the majority of people want to elect an old senile congressman, then that's their God Given right as Americans.

To me, the best argument for Congressional term limits is to prevent, or at least mitigate the establishment of entrenched, career politicians in office. Some turnover is good. New blood and fresh ideas are valuable. I think 18 years in the Congress--consecutive or non-consecutive--is plenty for anyone. That's 3 terms for Senators and 9 terms for House members. Or service in both chambers adding up to 18 years total.

We'd probably need a Constitutional amendment to enact it, so the overwhelming odds are it's not gonna happen.

Again, they apathy or stupidity in voting effects me as well as it effects them. I do not want a older person who had diminished mental capacity making decisions that change the laws of this country on a whole.

That's democracy though, we have to live with what the people choose. We may not like it, but that's life.

Really. I seriously doubt that it was meant to allow those who have lost their mental capacity to make decisions for this country.

There is a difference when you are given candidates that are able mentally and physically to carry out their duties and given candidates that are not physically or mentally fit to handle it.

If there are procedures in place to make sure the president is not operating this country in a less than able capacity, I don't see why there shouldn't be one for the congress and senate.
