You have a political bias, we all do, it's inescapable, so spare me the golly jeepers why so political-stuff?!

Having a political bias is fine. Letting that political bias consume you where you can't see past it isn't. This is what happens when you attack a political party non stop like you are doing.

Net Neutrality is an attempt to equilibrate the space of the internet via picking winners and losers.

No it isn't. It is an attempt to not discriminate against data.

They ALSO claimed its "just a simple set of rules"

It is just a simple set of rules.

ISP's provide a product to customers. If the ISP's limited access to customers to the extent that the hysteria assumes, they would go out of business!

They have done it many times over the past 13 years and luckily Net Neutrality rules have been in place to stop them.

Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and numerous other innovative companies and products emerged without the benefit of neutrality.

Wow. Just wow. First off, thanks for not being educated on how long Net Neutrality rules have been in place. It absolutely floors me how much people can write without being educated on the topic.

Net Neutrality was first introduced in 2005 under a Republican President and has been affirmed multiple times since then.

So your statement is not true. All those companies you just listed thrived under Net Neutrality rules.

The government would have been trying to control the pipe into our homes when smartphones and other mobile devises completely changed how people connect to the internet!

Again, Net Neutrality was in place when smartphones and other mobile devices completely changed how people connect to the internet. You are, again, wrong.

Technology is changing so fast that any attempt by government to do a study and write regulation gets outpaced by new dominant formats. Had Net Neutrality been in force for that past 10-15 years, we would still all have equally bad dial up! We all want many flavors not just vanilla.

LOL Net Neutrality rules have been in place for the last 10-15 years. Please educate yourself on the history of Net Neutrality.

Because Conservatives know that the U.S. government is in itself just a kind of corporate entity that doesn't have to answer to consumer sentiment and provide innovative products.

Yes the Government does. It is called voting.

Its the wealthiest, most powerful entity on earth! If they don't like the "content" of a political entity, it can use it's power through one of many agencies like the IRS for example to harass and suppress it's critics. Government doesn't fear the people like content providers do. ***See Starbucks new bathroom policy.

This is ridiculous but you have shown, in a roundabout-way how the Republicans in power do not care about the will of the public. The majority of Americans want Net Neutrality and it is very much a bipartisan issue outside of Washington. However, the Republicans are using their complete control of the Government to go against the will of the people. However, this doesn't seem to alarm you, because you are so blinded by your hate of one party.

I thought that I would add the response of our local internet company, Hargray. They will continue to follow the net neutrality rules, even though theye are not required to do so.

Hargray Committed to a Free and Open Internet

Net Neutrality: Here's Everything You Need To Know

Sere below for one example of what is being done. Many have AT&T as their carrier.

AT&T chooses which services to count against the customer's data plan limits and which do not. DirectTVNOW video service doesn't count against the data limits. However, you will get charged for data if you use HULU or NETFLIX.
=======
I would point out that the net neutrality rules were put forth in a Republican administration. The only reason that they are being repealed is because Obama supported them.

I have educated myself, your condescension won’t mask your own ignorance or is it outright dishonesty?

While earlier controversial policies and rules were put in place, on April 13, 2015, the FCC published the final rule on its new "net neutrality" regulations. These rules went into effect on June 12, 2015

A majority of Americans don’t realize that they have been misinformed about the consequences Net Neutrality.

I don’t like socialism and the Left has shown it’s true colors.

No you haven't. Just because the final rule went into place on June 12, 2015 doesn't mean that they were not being enforced before that. Companies were abusing and being fined by the FCC for violating Net Neutrality from the mid 2000's.

controversial policies

Only to ISP lobbyists. The rules (I like how you are calling them that now) are very much supported by the majority of Americans across political lines.

They are not misinformed. You are. Its clearly laid out here why. Net Neutrality has been enforced on companies since 2005 and in 2015 the FCC finally changed the labeling of internet so that any doubt about who had the right to enforce these rules that were being abused was gone.

I don’t like socialism and the Left has shown it’s true colors.

I don't like people who are so blinded by political party hate that they can't see past it and must harp about a group of people or ideas non stop. It is partisan nonsense like this that sets countries back instead of moving them forward.

You've talked less about the issue of Net Neutrality and instead you rant and rave like a loose cannon about socialism, left, leftist, Bernie Sanders.

It is sad that there are people that have succumbed to partisan politics that continue to divide this country.

Many companies have said that and now are walking back that promise.
"Oh don't worry, we'd never do that. But we demand that we be allowed to do that. But we would never do that. Just let us be able to."

That's the reason for the Title II reclassification in 2015. The ISPs were adhereing to the 2005 era NN rules on a 'gentleman's agreement' then Verizon violated, was fined, then Verizon sued the FCC and won on the grounds that the FCC could not enforce those existing rules under Title I.

Why did the FCC recently reclassify ISPs under Title 1 again then? Malicious or incompetence...

The FCC chairman is a former lobbyist and counsel for Verizon. It was the Verizon lawsuit that triggered the TitleII reclassification... related? probably.
I don;t think it was incompetence, it was intentional.
The large ISPs are investing huge sums in content providers (see the potential AT&T Time Warner merger as exhibit A).
This is an effort for the ISPs to establish their own content sourcing in house in order to package "prioritize" for their customers, while simultaneously filtering/slowing, charging for or outright blocking content from competitors.
It won't begin this way (IMHO) but that's were we are headed. Look for some big splashy public service offering to be the first thing out of the box in order to sway early opinion.

Might be worth pointing out that socialism would be nationalizing the industries. Setting some pretty minor rules to protect the people isn't socialism.

Though I imagine the other side now sees antitrust laws as socialism.

People blinded by partisan hate of a party are conditioned to just use those terms as fear tactics. Rational discussion is no where to be seen, just fear mongering and regurgitated terms that are fed into them by the partisan political commentator of their choice.

Net Neutrality is none of those things and the majority of Americans see that and wish for these rules to remain.
