  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone
Hope each and every one of you blesses and gets blessed today.
Here is the issue: A few months ago I was led by the Holy Spirit to initiate a Disabled Ministry at my church. I directed this idea to a person because she has a lot of experiece with the disabled and she is an ordained minister. The end result was that she asked me if I would like to do start this type of ministry with her. I agreed. Well, this person is setting it up, meeting with Pastors at the church and I am kept in the dark. At first, the plan was for both of us to present the idea to one of the Pastors. When the apppointed time came to meet with the Pastor, she said that "the Holy Spirit told me(her) to meet with the Pastor alone". When I asked her the reason, she said that she did not know. Over time it has become very clear that she wants to run the show. In fact, she has been referring to the ministry as her ministry. I am still working on my credentials and I will probably need her to mentor me in some future courses; so I really don't want to get too confrontive with her. I tried to tell her in a round about way that she is keeping me out of the loop, but she mrely tells me "there is really nothing to do". From what I can tell right now she and I are going to take turns preaching. So, if this plan is true, I will be preaching every other month. I am hurt that she became so controlling of the ministry since the ideas came from me. I recognize that the Lord birthed the ideas, but I don't trust her now since she has designed all the flyers and letters etc without me. I really don't like these power plays, but I don't know what if anything I can tactfully do about it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you all for reading this.

Greetings,
you may not receive this responce well, but I'm telling you this in love...If you are called by God to do any assignment all of the glory goes to Him, not you or anyone else. What God has for you is for you no one can take anything from you that is ordained for you by God. We should
have such love and a desire in our hearts to serve God that it doent matter who is center stage, God should be center stage! In my opinion you should do what you believe God has told you to do and dont worry about anything else. There are so many souls that are hungry for Christ, that should your motivating factor, not whose making flyers without you. Sems that you want man to see you instead of Christ in you. Dont be so petty, keep your eyes on Christ not man. If your service is from the heart God will reward you. Let God be exhaulted not you.

In Love
