I'm supposed to go through life accepting this world as is it and not being completely enraged by it?!
NO, absolutely not, but instead of letting your heart be taken over by anger and vengenance for the injustices of the world, turn it into witness for the One that can save them from it. Your anger becomes sadness, you weep for those who will perish. Because you know their plight, You begin to pray for them. You start helping them. You serve them, You teach them, You share Christ with them, You LOVE them.
I don't think you are full of hate at all, I think your heart is so full of love for your fellow man that it hurts because you haven't found a way to let it out. I think you see what goes on around you and it causes you pain. I think you have an amazing amount of understanding for those around you.
I think you numb the pain by getting angry. It's a lot easier to say you're angry then you are hurt.
I want to help you, but it's gonna take some work on your part.
Here are four things I want you to concentrate on.
When you feel angry, pray and ask God to turn it into sympathy.
When you feel contempt, pray and ask God to turn it into compassion.
When you feel like being cruel, pray and ask God to turn it into kindness.
When you start to see the wrong in people, pray and ask God to show you the best in people.
Write this down, put it in your pocket, and throughout the day....EVERYTIME you feel one of these things, STOP, and Pray.
Keep in mind, when another person hurts others, it's usually because they are hurting themselves....they don't need punishment, they need help.
