We should always look for the non-violent answer to the problem. However, there are going to be points between men and nations were an impass is reached and the only remaining solution is force.

Historically speaking, Adolf Hitler was such a person with whom there was no reasoning. If not resisted he would have sysematically invaded every country in Europe (further if possible) and exterminated or forciably removed all non-Germanic people and established Europe as a new pagan German empire. War is never good or pleasent but in the end everyone (including Germany) was better off with Hitler gone.

Speaking in a "actually in the world" sense, yes, I am sure, as per the explanation given above from the OCA site. Which is why the Orthodox Church does not teach it while there are groups such as the Mennonites, Brethren, Amish, etc., who do. Total Pacificism is not an Orthodox teaching, though it is what we look forward to-a world with no conflict, united to Christ, in the Kingdom.
