  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, not a dreamcast. He means the "Sega CD", an add-on for the Sega Genesis.

There were two models of Genesis, and two models of Sega CD. The earlier Genesis, if memory serves, has a red sliding power switch, and is wider; the later one was narrower, and had a push-button switch. The earlier Sega CD was about as wide as the first-model Genesis, and had a tray-loading mechanism. The later one was a platform on which a Genesis would sit, with the CD drive on the right, with a flip-top cover.

If nothing else, the Sega CD requires a separate power supply from the Genesis. Depending on the version you have, it may or may not also require some adapter plug stuff to plug in correctly.

If memory serves, the CD should just plug into the port on the bottom... right, I think? ... side of the Genesis. However, it will need a separate power supply. It should have a label on the bottom saying what power requirements it has. Mine is the second model, and it's 9V, 1.2A. There shouldn't be any special connectors needed to plug them into each other; it's just a question of getting the CD unit powered up, I believe.

Get Sewer Shark. [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse], best/worst/most frustrating/awesome game ever.

Contradictions = 2 :scratch:

I don't know how to explain it. I still play it from time to time although it is a bad game, but it is fun, and it's just such a departure from the regular videogame. Check it out.

That's a pretty good score to find a Sega CD.

Thanks for the recommendation!:) Well, it seemed to me it(sega cd) needed an av cable, so I just got that, but then it needs a power cable as well? Does the sega cd use the same ac adapter as the genesis? Cuz' I can't find one specifically for the sega cd!
