Oh, and i am openly pro secular music. often one of my examples (though not my main philosophy on the subject, just found this amusing) of this is that nearlly all the original Protestant and Catholic hymns were made to the tunes of German and english drinking songs, so everyone would know the tunes.

So what are your opinions? I believe that listening to the secular charts can be deadly for your spirit..........What do you think?

You are very right about that - hopefully as Christians we are selective in what we listen to. Garbage in = Garbage out.

I think a good guideline Scripture wise is -

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I've learned Christians can make good art and they can also make bad art AND so can non-Christians. There is plenty of good secular stuff out there - hopefully we are able to enjoy what is good and disregard the rest !
