What I find fascinating is he has such a compelling argument and so much of it gleaned from outside the bible.
He seems pretty convinced to me. I obviously couldn't check all his facts and his main source of direction is youtube, nor would I want to spend much time on it.
I asked him if there would be divine intervention during the event.
His reply was only if God knows you. Interesting that this doom sayer still deep down wants to be saved by God, but he personally does not feel worthy.

At the very least it can probably said that it's rather obscure; and there is plenty in God's Word for our blessing that is not obscure!

Keys to look for in a teaching that purports to be Biblical are, How does it glorify Christ? and how does Israel, the key to prophecy, feature?

I did listen to his idea with a fairly open mind to be fair and I didn't come down on him on much there was a few things where I had to say to him( and my friend agreed) he had overstepped reality and all logic lol.

You do have scholars who grew up as UFO nerds and check up on this stuff and find out that people are being sold the Brooklyn bridge and buying it, when it comes to things like nibiru.

Don't worry, Andrew, it's complete rubbish — both from a scientific perspective and a Biblical perspective. It's essentially a myth that was cooked up by someone who claimed to receive messages from extraterrestrials and has since been linked to several purported coming catastrophes — like the supposed end of the world in 2012 — that (surprise surprise) didn't happen.

while "Nibiru" IS a Sumerian astronomical term, it has nothing to do with any particular planet, let alone one that periodically "wanders" through the Solar System. It's rank exoticism of the first order. Make a claim, cite some vague ancient mystic source (Sumerians and Tibetans are popular) throw in a few vaguely factual elements (Nibiru is a Sumerian astronomical term, "planet" means "wanderer" in Greek.) and the punters will lap it up. And back in the days before the internet, if you put something in a book, well, then it MUST be true, right? Especially if there was a bibliography! I mean, who had either the time or resources to actually go and check if the citations were accurate?

The internet has made fact checking and debunking woo nonsense SO much easier. Unfortunately, many people don't. It's sad. Nothing to do with general intelligence, it's a general failure of educational establishments to effectively teach critical thinking skills

The whole Niburu story as comes up every few years in apocalyptic culture is basically traceble to the writings of Zacharia Sitchen, and to a lesser extent, Eric von Danniken. Their books are very interesting, but despite theie claims, they're pretty much made up completely, with, like I say, a dusting of historical facts and places to give a veneer of respectable scholarship. Don't be fooled. It's no more "real" than Guardians of the Galaxy.

The only way a planet could be invisible behind the sun is if it were the same mass as the earth and in exactly the same orbit. However, its gravitational effect could be detected in its influence on the orbits of other planets. In addition, the gravitational effects of the Venus and Mars would eventually drag earth and this imaginary planet out of synchronicity and they would become visible to each other. Orbital mechanics is very well understood.

A basic biblical fact. No one but God knows the date and time that the world will end.
Get that fact firmly established, then all reports of a domeday event become pure fanatasy.

A basic human fact. Any group larger than three people cannot keep a secret. It is why communist cell groups work on a princvipal of three people only.
Read up about Watergate and how that conspiracy unravaled, or the various plots to kill hitler.
No government could hide a secret like the world is going to be hit by a planet etc as far too many people would know and would talk.
