I am new to Christian Forum as of today 6/15.

I really believe the lord has always been in my life but in the background, thats cause I just won't let him in. I always expect a flash of light, or a deep "Its time Ray" from the lord. This has never happened. I guess the lord is leaving this up to me. I wish it was the instant, easy way, but I believe now the lord will have me come to him. I will do a lot of reading on this fourm so I won't post much for now. I will be truthful, I am little nervous. Sometimes I think the lord won't really want ME, I waited so long, I believe he even has givin me signs, but I ignored them or did not see them.

The Lord wants you... he really does. The ball is in your court. If you open up the door to God he will fill your life.

Here's a sign from God's Written Word: 2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Any=Ray

Another one from John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Whosoever=Ray

One more: John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." him that cometh=Ray

You have the signs in writing. You know He WILL accept you, because you also have that in writing!

Are you now ready? All you have to do is so very simple. even the simplest of all prayers will do. Just say something like: Jesus, I know I am a sinner and cannot save myself. Forgive me, save me, and come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour. I repent of my sins, and I thank You for shedding Your Blood to wash them away. I will join myself to a body of believers for fellowship and spiritual growth, and I will follow you in believers Baptism as a public profession of my faith. You have said that if I will confess You before men that You will confess me before the Father. Thank You for forgiving me and saving me. Amen!

Ray, believe me, God wants you. I often have trouble accepting that - why would God want me when I make so many mistakes and forsake him even when I don't want to? When I give in to the ways of the world rather than the ways of God. But God loves every single one of us, from the most righteous to the "worst" sinner. God loves you and you are sooo unique to him. There is no one like you and God loves you. When he looks at you all he sees is beauty, he looks past your faults and bad points and he sees all the wonderful things you have done, and the beautiful soul that is inside you. You don't need a sign from God, if anything, I think he's given you a "sign" by encouraging you to write this post. I'll be praying that you find God soon!

I promise you, God wants YOU! He loves you!!

Oh NO Ray! The LORD wants you! He wanted you so much in love, that He left His throne in heaven and lived to die solely to die rejected and alone so that we can have something we don't deserve: salvation: That's how much He loves you.

If God didn't want anyone here, it was probably me. Most people use that verse in James that says

"If you've broken one of the commandments, you've broken them all."

I didn't need that. For me, it was ipso facto. I had broken them all by 8th grade (lusting a murder and sex is defying God). Ray, you are a very polite man. God's forgiveness reaches all who ask for it. Why would God want us???? The answer: I honestly don't know. I can't comprehend it today. How could He love *us* so much to do that to Himself? Well, by faith we know He did it, and by believing in His blood that gives forgiveness, we are saved from condemnation for our sins. I'll just have to have a peace that transcends understanding when it comes to His love and me.

Ray, we'll pray for you. We hope that God will find you (I don't like it when people say that they found Christ, HE was never lost. Think about it), and the truth will set you free. There's SO MUCH I would like to post, but I just pray that the Holy Spirit will show you the truth, and you can become a child of God!!!!!!! TTYL Jesus loves you!

Ray this what ‘defender of the faith’ says is true. God surly loves you

If God wants to get your attention, He'll never stop till He GETS YOUR ATTENTION! As He's doing now, obviously.
