Okay, I'm listening to Get Closer by Seals and Crofts. It is amazing how much they sound like Phil Collins on this song! Anybody else hear the similarties?

NO - not really.
But remember - When S&C did that song, no one had ever heard Phil Collins sing - not even his other band members. When Peter Gabriel left Genesis, the rest of the band was shocked when their drummer (Collins) tried out for the spot. To me, (and to the other band members) he sounds a LOT like Peter Gabriel.

I am a huge fan of Seals & Crofts, but I am mindful that they are of the Bahai faith. Some of their songs have references to their theology. Hummingbird refers to "God's Divine Messenger." That is Baha'u'llah.
