  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello,
I am trying to find the scripture where it talks about prayers from unbelievers falling on deaf ears (now it may not say that exactly, I found one in Matthew, but I thought there was also one in John, I just cant find it)
Any help is appreciated. thanks :)

"If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;" - Psalm 66:18

"If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable." - Proverbs 28:9

"Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. " - Isaiah 59:1-2

And of course, we know the way out of this:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
