  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Wow that is tuff! I have seen people that do one, and then get a color copy of it, and it looks pretty good. You could take a copy of it, and then add embelishments to the copy. That would still keep the 3d effect and look like it took time to make. Just recently I looked in a scrapbooking magazine and they are starting to do them on the computer. You could do that and then still add the embelishments.

Are you wanting to do just his 1st birthday or his entire 1st year up to his birthday ending there?

If it is his first year through his birthday, you could do a pace for each month, picking out the most exciting thing he did for that month. I like to use a block with a letter or number on it as the start of my page or paragraph of journaling. Pick out simple cut outs (dye cuts are thay can be called) to highlight something fun or important. In the case of his birday a cake or a candle. And you could use that as the center 'focus' of the page with your son surrounding it doing the various things done on a first birthday.

It will be hard to do with so many books you wish to do, so keep the layouts simple, fun and bright. It shouldn't be a stresser for you, but fun to do. There are layout helps you can find. I work mostly with Creative Memories stuff, and although I don't use them much, I know they have layout books that give quick and easy ideas. I am srue there are magazines and other books you can look into as well.

Let us know how it all comes out!!

One thing you can do for great ideas (my mother does this) is go on E-bay and look at all the scrapbooking mini books, books, layout, etc...that they have. It'll inspire you quickly. Trust me on this!
