  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Neither does that moldy notion that there is an "evolutionist creed" or "doctrine" or "dogma".
Meaning what? that there is no answer to my question?

Hespera[/URL]] Religion is what, a sort of parasite, or mind virus. It short circuits the thought process.

It has been tremendously useful to the priest class who have successfully exploited religion for their personal aggrandizement.

The harm to human society of course is incalculable. Who could guess what might have been accomplished without religion stifling people's creativity.

The just completely weird illogical senseless things that people say in defense of religion are evidence enough of what magical thinking does to a person, once its been internalized.
And this is coming from a guy who has a buddhist icon. Irony or hyprocrite is something I can't decide. You keep ranting about religon every time this sort of topic brought up.

From what little I know, you can follow Buddhism as a secular philosophy without being truly religious. I see no hypocrisy there.

If you have a personal problem with me I'd suggest you bring it up with the moderators.

I put the icon there, because I was raised in the context of that philosophy, and certain aspects of it are important to how i view life. people raised in the USA, even if they are not Christians, are always profoundly affected by the Christian context of the society they live in.

As for what you can or cant decide, you might consider keeping it to yourself; that is your business, but you got it wrong so far. Like your spelling and word usage.

Definitions of rant on the Web:

  • harangue: a loud bombastic declamation expressed with strong emotion
  • talk in a noisy, excited, or declamatory manner
  • bombast: pompous or pretentious talk or writing
I dont do rants. Oh, and I'm not a "guy".

Was there some point to your post?

According to Christian geometry, what is ectoplasm?

Hey, I think there is such a thing as Christian geometry, or at least creationist geometry.

First two tenets I've thought of:

  • Pi = 3
  • "Circle" only ever refers to 2D projections of 3D objects; nothing at all to do with purely 2D objects, no sir
  • Spheres have corners; nothing to do with the Bible not being clear on the shape of Earth at all, no sir!

Something like saying sunrise and sunset or the four corners of the earth. We all know that the sun does not orbit the earth and thus cannot be said to set nor rise! A globe has no corners.

Basically it is a figure of speech. When I said "May his soul rest in peace" It was meant as a sign of respect to the man who enlightened mankind with his pursuit for the understanding of nature and the origin of the species!
Tan, is this some kind of answer to my very specific question?

I'm not familiar with evolution's definition of "soul".

Would you enlighten me, please?
