The real question is, is he ready to expose himself?

Everyone has a choice to make. My war would have been Vietnam but I made my choice not to go. I have very good friends that made a choice to go. We all live with the results of the choices we make. For example a very close friend of mine lost a leg to a claymore mine. He is grateful for the help he received from God to deal with that.
That is not at all what I meant. The disciples died not because of what they believed to be true, but what they knew to be true and would not have died for a lie.

You said you were here to help me understand. A good way to do that, is to answer the question I had.
You asked a question about a verse in the Bible where Paul says that our works will be tested. A good place to begin is with the teaching of Jesus where He tells us to build on the right foundation. Those who build on sand will lose their house when the storm comes. But those who build on the rock will have a house that will stand up to the storms. Here Jesus is talking about following His teachings. Paul goes on to add the teaching of the Apostles. Paul explains that the materials we build out of are important. The reason is that our works will be tested by fire. So if we build out of wood, hay or stubble then our works will not survive the test when they are tested by fire. This is all real basic Sunday school type of teaching designed to make the lesson accessible for children. I am sure if you google it there are lots of places on the internet that you can learn more about how our works will be tested. If you remember the story of the three little pigs this is very much like that story. The one that build out of brick had a house that would stand and not fall down. Remember the part about how the wolf would huff and puff and blow your house down. That is why these stores have been told over and over generation after generation. There is a lesson for everyone to learn from these stories. I remember the story my grandmother use to tell me about the little boy that cried wolf. I learned from that story that you do not ask for help unless you really need it. That way people will always be there to help you. But if you play around and abuse the privilege then there is a good chance that they will not be there for you when you really need help the most. I have two brothers that I almost never ask them for anything, but if I did they would drop whatever they were doing in an instant and be there for me.

So Paul in 1 cor 3 tells us not to build out of wood, hay or stubble. Because when our works are tested they will be burned up in the fire and we will suffer loss. He warns us not to be carnal but to live a life spiritual before God.

Matthew 7:24-27(NIV)
The Wise and Foolish Builders>
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Jesus said you have to actually follow His teaching. Is is not enough to sit and listen to sermons. If is not enough to talk about God and the things of God. You have to be a doer of the word. You have to follow the teaching of Jesus and actually do what He said we are to do and live our life the way He teaches us. If you actually follow the teaching of Jesus we will reap rewards and benefits in this life and in the life to come.

Cool story, but I see no reliable test.

It was God's Divine faith at work in them. They were trusting in Divinity not in man. Many people do not understand the fruits of the Spirit and how God wants to manifest his fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self control. Some Christians say we are to be fruit inspectors to test people to see if God is a work in them.

I don't see how your words demonstrate any type of reliable objective test. It is just more preaching.
You seem to be asking about how to examine yourself. This is indeed very important. Paul tells us: "That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep." He suggests that because people do not know how to examine themselves they are weak, sick and a number have died an early death. There are conditions we need to follow if we want to live a fullness of days. I look at Eldredge and Gould. Eldredge is still alive and Gould died an early death by comparison. Even though he did live 20 years after his first cancer. He clearly had work that God wanted him to do, but Gould did not make an attempt to honor God. Eldredge clearly made more of an attempt.

You can use scripture to examine yourself, I will take a pass.

The basic teaching of Jesus is really very easy. The Golden Rules says we are to treat others they way we want to be treated. Some people even go so far as to say we will be treated the way we treat others. As long as we do onto others the way we want others to do onto us then there should be no problem.

We are asking how the Bible can be tested right now in an objective and verifiable manner.
You are not following the conversation. The question was how do we test ourselves to see if we are living the way Jesus teaches us that we should live. The Golden rule is to treat others the way we want to be treated. So we need to examine ourselves to see if we follow this rule. We are told to depart from Evil if we want to see health and long life. This usually means do not do anything to harm others. If you do harm to others, then do not expect that things are going to go well for you.

Here is the original question.

"My question was in regards to the test you mentioned. Can you show us how this test is objectively reliable and verifiable? Yes, or no?"

How is this objective and verifiable?

Like I said, the test is for you to examine yourself to see if your are doing anything to harm others or if you are treating others the way you want to be treated. Even in prison people expect respect. If you do not show respect for others then you can expect that your going to have problems in life. Its all very easy and very simple.

Of course it was. They hid until they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They went out after and were fearless in spreading the gospel. That is what I am saying. They would not have died for a lie, they would not have lived by denying Christ after that.
