I'm in my fourth year in law school. But I stopped in the middle of the semester, because I lost my motivation and my love for law. I'm planning to go back when the next school year opens. Hopefully, I would love law again.

I had an academic privilege in the first semester for being an honor graduate (from my bachelor's degree), then another two semesters for being in the dean's list, then a scholarship in another two semesters. After that, we had to pay for my tuition.

I want to be in a bible study, but I don't know how. I want to read the bible from beginning to end, but I am afriad I might misinterpret the scriptures if I have no guide. Hope someone could help me about that.

Does your church do bible studies?
You can just find some people to read with you at the library, if you want to read along with others as well.
Or you could help out with bibles in schools if there's a ministry in your area. They always need helpers and that way you are learning the bible along with the children! (But they think you are the teacher aide).

Anyway good news the school rang me back about the certificate in money management and I'm going to see them tonite to enrol, this one is classes, not distance and actually has no fees. Its just up the road, I don't have to travel far.

So I actually don't have to pay anything...yea!
Also, last week I started tai chi classes that were free as well.

And a lady at my bible study gave me a whole heap of books on garden design to keep. So I don't really have to buy any textbooks at all.

I don't think you should be afraid to read the Bible on your own. It's not dangerous to read the Bible, and God has promised to give us wisdom if we feel that we lack understanding:

"But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him." James 1:15

God himself speaks to us through the scriptures, so you won't be without a guide. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit will be our guide and teacher:

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come." John 16:13

True, there will be many things in the Bible that you won't understand at first, stories that might seem strange to you. Such passages aren't something to fear, instead they're an incentive to a deeper study. Things which initially seem difficult are often clearly explained elsewhere in the Bible. So, the more you study the Bible, the more you'll understand.

If you begin reading the Bible by yourself, then I'm sure that God sooner or later will put you in touch with people you could study the Bible with. But the most important thing for you is without a doubt to establish a habit of personal Bible study!

I enrolled in school.
It starts in about two weeks and is held on wednesday evenings for 20 weeks.
I will have to give up wednesday bible study on the same night but I can just go to thursdays.

I just want to encourage everyone to read their Bibles and ask God for wisdom for things you don't understand. The more you read, the more God will show you. Also I recommend KJV as some bible versions can be confusing, well I found that I can always trust the KJV.

I find out after all these years I am numerically challenged. Despite my highest grade being a+ for statistics at university.

They never taught me what 5/8 of an inch is at school because we learned in metric.

I attended the University of Idaho for four years at age 28 while married with two kids and working full-time. I rarely attended class and averaged a 3.0 GPA. I racked up $30k in student loan debt somehow. During my last year, 9/11 happened and due to me being a federal law enforcement agent at the time, had to drop out to fulfill my duties. I was studying criminal justice and political science at the time, but had completed many courses in business and business marketing.

Fifteen years later, I am still paying on those loans and don't have my degree. I was picked up by the Department of Homeland Security and offered a supervisory position with the government and never looked back.

Now that I'm single, kids are grown, and I'm in the private sector; I'm seriously considering finishing my degree in business. I love learning but was bored writing paper after paper...

I think when you single its the best time to study as less distractions. If your children are grown and can look after themselves thats good too.

I cant imagine studying and working full time at the same time again, along with raising children as well...

At least in one of my jobs they reimbursed my degree. Ask your employer.

I couldn't see myself studying while working either, and I like getting a monthly salary too much for me to consider studying full-time. I do have this vague plan that when I retire then I might study something, partly as a means of keeping myself busy, but that's still almost 30 years away, so it's not something I'm giving too much thought at the moment.

Can you solve 5/8ths of a pizza? Concept is the same. The "inch" part only matters if you are actually measuring something....and then you just look at an inch, divide it into 8 parts...and figure out how long 5 of the 8 parts is. (was this sarcasm?) 5/8th of a cm also exists but it is more complicated since a cm is usually divided into 10 parts....but 5/8 of a cm also exists.

Went to class last night (first one) and got all my materials...wow they even gave us calculators. All free!
I don't remember that in high school. We had to buy our own back then and because I was in the 'brainy' class they wanted us to use the graphics calculators that cost $100.

My other course, well, I'm beginning to suspect its mining us for future wage slaves who will know how to landscape other rich peoples properties after all the poorer people are shunted off the land.

That is, if my hunch on the education system is correct. I'm just being paranoid...

The last three are 1 credit classes, so it's only 12 credits.

I have an academic scholarship for 50% of the tuition and my grandfather is paying the rest. Thanks grandpa!
