  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I had a very difficult time in school--having to repeat 7th Grade & really struggling to get passing grades. Math & Science were my most difficult subjects. I struggled in High School as well--but I kept battling & ended up graduating with pretty good grades.
I had problems socially as well--& have really improved in that area over the years.

I voted negative socially, average academically. I was very shy and was teased a lot in grade and middle school. My grades went up and down because of this.

High school for the most part was much better for me socially and academically.

My grades were always about average. But socially, school was a nightmare for me. People teased me from kindergarden to graduation. I was going to commit suicide in my last year of school. I was dark complexion and had a jerry curl. This was a beacon for the bullies to hoam in on. It wasn't until later that I found out that some of the boys in school had crushes on me.

I went to 3 different secondary schools as a teenager, my fist one I loved socially and academically, however I moved to another country and was bullied and I also missed learning my own country's history so to me it sucked academically. The 3rd secondary school I went to, I managed to make some friends and academically it was brilliant, it got me a place at a top University so I was really happy about that.

I hated grade school... I went to a catholic grade school that was filled with kids from the upper side of town. Mind you we lived in a blue collar neighborhood, but to the kids I went to school with you would think I lived in the projects. They were into what kind of job your parents had and what kind of car they drove. But, I loved high school!!!

All of my school years were really positive both socially and academically. I had good friends, good teachers, and I made good grades. I was involved in lots of extra-curriculars, and was very involved with my church. I realize that I have a lot to be thankful for.

When I went to Jr. High...I specfically told them I didn't want academic classes but they put me in them anyway. I was too young to make that kind of decision. The first semester I failed English & math. They still wouldn't put me in lower classes. I barely passed 7th grade. They did put me in lower classes from then on. I was told that I didn't apply myself that is why I almost failed. No...home life and personal life sucked at the time...and I had no time or energy for school. I need to take care of home (me & my brother). I didn't have time to go to parties & dances. I was trying to survive emotionally. It wasn't a completely horrible time...I know others that had much worse...but it wasn't my ideal of what Jr. High should be.
