It's working well for me, I've been able to transfer blessings from my old accounts to this one, and then check them into savings.. seems fine.

Why do you insist on resurrecting a system that will leave this site open to hackers, exactly?

I don't think the arcade is a priority, because there are so many Internet games out there anyway. And the buggy nature of the arcade makes it a really bad idea.

(For anyone who didn't read, Pauler mentioned the arcade is buggy and full of holes that leave the site vulnerable). Are your games really that important? Are you really thinking about the site as a whole?

Sorry if that sounds harsh.. but if the arcade cannot be brought back under stable terms, let's make sure they don't rush it.

If you're so desperate to play games, there are a million sites on the internet that will allow you to do that. If the only thing keeping you on CF are games, you're definitely sticking around for the wrong reason.

I am not the only one wjho would like to see games kept and now you are a judge of my motiv If the games are buggy then get somr that arent, that shouldnt be to hard now, should it? At one time I debated here but no more, it is the same debates with pretty much the same people, it is pointless.

On a side note, could they fix the issue where when people join the site doesn't give them access to the appropriate men's or women's forum? I think the average person might miss it by not understanding they have to request access to the forum. I just happened to remember the bug from years ago.. but I can't imagine I would have thought to request access to a forum I didn't know existed if I had legitimately been new.

Amount of blessings per post for the original system was ten blessings per post, but I think there was a variable in there somewhere on the thousandth post or something to make 100 or 1000 blessings appear. I may be mistaken, though - I do know it was 10 per post, I'd reap approximately 10,000 blessings per counting thread.

10 per post sounds right, but if you are concerned about too many blessings in total "in the system" you could make that smaller.

Edit: on checking, it seems to have been 1 blessing per post originally

I could have sworn it was 1 per post with variables for starting new threads, etc.

I've been here since 2003 (and can't remember what it was for sure way back when) and then I remember things changed wildly in around 2008, so since then I'm not 100% sure what the amount was especially more recently.

Sadly I've come up with references in searching the forums for both (10 and 1) so I don't actually know. There used to be a document that explained blessings, but it seems defunct now.

At any rate, whatever it was in the past doesn't have to be what it is now, and it can always be adjusted once working.

In conclusion, we know nothing. At this point any per-post is better than none though

I wonder how far back my banking records go... I'm not sure if I'll be able to find the point when I managed to fandangle the system into giving me a literal stack of blessings for moving a thread. Good times. If I can, I'll let you know. If not, I've no objection to actually reading through the code and working it out manually from an old database dump.
