There is an invisible world around us, where the fallen angels dwell and would seek to destroy all those who love an honour God. I was speaking to someone yesterday who has had experience and he said that sometimes people have unwittingly 'opened a door' to demons to come into their house by having either books or ornaments such as witches, wizards, dragons or books with any form of occult symbols. It would be worth checking if there is anything of this kind of nature and getting rid of it.
Also spend time in prayer seeking the Lord's protection and that He will send angels to watch over you.

like last week I asked God to show me a sign that he is helping me in my life and cares and loves me. (I already knew this, but I just wanted a sign) and God Fulfilled this sign for me!! HE ACTUALLY DID IT!! I have even more faith now! Anyway, I went back to sleep after that and when I woke up I was paralyzed and I could not move! It felt as if some one or something was holding me down and keeping me from getting up! I didnt know what to do but then I remembered to call on Jesus to help me. I called on Jesus as loud as I could and I could barely get my voice out. After i called His name the thing or whatever was holding me down vanished a few seconds after and I finally could sit up. The question is What the heck was holding me down?! and whatever it was I dont think it liked Jesus. What do you think It was? some kinda evil spirit?

There is actually a name (possibly a medical term) for what happened to you. I know because it happened to me many times as a child and a few times as an adult, and when I saw an article about it, I recognised what it was talking about right away. If I can find the article or remember the name of it, I will post it here for you. It's been a while since I read it but I will try. Every time I experienced it, it was scary for me too but it is something that has something to do with a phase of sleeping and being partially aware of things. Sometimes I even felt like I was crying out for help and no one could hear my voice. But when I would call on God, I would relax and let go and give him control. It wouldn't be long until I completely woke up. And boy did I get up fast. I didn't want to go back to sleep for anything. I will try to find the article.

Hmmmm..My brother and sister were playing Ouija board in my house...(I didn't join in though) and its still in my bro's room somewhere. Maybe that was a door that was opened?..But I didn't even play the ouija board!

my brother wont give it to me...he's 21. He thinks its a joke and I dont know if he's a true Christian. Every since he went to college, he has seemed to lose faith. Also...My 10 year old sister was asleep and she wokeup and was unable to move and she saw 2 red eyes and something held her hand. I don't think it is sleep paralysis. What are the odds that people who never get sleep paralysis, all get attacked in like the same week. Also, when my brother played Ouija board, The board said its name was Sam and it wants me. It also said there are six evil spirits in my room and it also said he was evil. I cast these spirits out though in the name of Jesus. Also, I think there may have been an evil spiri in me. I prayed and binded and cast out the demon who was bothering me. and I felt woozy and like I was gonna faint or die. Then I felt as if some kinda spirit left my body!! But I could sense the prescense of the Holy Spirit still inside me. Can Christians have demons inside of their bodies?

Sweetie...I don't know what else to say to you. Talk to your mom about the board. Talk to the Pastor or elders at your church. Maybe one of the elders at your church...or a godly man will have a talk with your brother and help your family.

Hi Dyin2live,

I found the name of it. It is called Sleep Paralysis. I sent in a question to the Mayo Clinic about it but do not expect an answer for a few weeks to come. But if you type in Sleep Paralysis in the google search bar, you will find a lot of interesting information on it. I would only trust information from trustworthy sources when reading. That is why I emailed the Mayo Clinic.

About the Ouji board, there is a scripture at Deutoronomy 18: 10-12 that helps us to see that that sort of activity does not meet Gods approval and we are lovingly warned to stay away from it. Just as our parents at home warn us about dangers, God has provided counsel for us in the scriptures. I hope this helps some.

I have had these dreams since I was around 15. Not often, just a few times a year.

I would always be where I was sleeping and completely paralyzed with the sense of an evil presense in the room with me. It is a terrifying dream by itself but the last few times there have been demons. The last time one came out of the wall right over my face looking down on me. I couldn't tell what it was saying since there were loud wind noises that time.

I accept the awareness during sleep paralysis explanation (although I just found that a few months back, the previous years I just thought they were very bad dreams). Since I have recently been saved, I stand on the name of Jesus when it happens, but it still takes about the same amount of time for the dream to abate as it used to. If you do read up on the ASP, might want to make sure it's a scientific site and not some new age religion bs

Wow, I totally didn't see that post. My goodness. Thanks for brining that out. That's sure sounds like a special situation. I suggest a lot of prayer and Bible study. Sometimes the demons attack when they see you going in the right direction in life much like they did to Job in the Bible. You have to stand firm in your dedication to God and call his name out loud as many times as you would like, for your protection, when you feel threatened by what may be demons. The Bible says they fear him and they tremble at his name. Just as they fear him, he is your power and strong hold. I recommend looking in the bible and learning what Gods name is. Not just his title "God". In most Bibles you will find his name at Psalm 83:18. Just as in the Lords prayer is Hallowed be thy Name, it is something important and the demons know it. They fear him and him only. You will be in my prayers. Hang in there.
