The Others with Nicole Kidman. Only one other person was in the theater when I saw it, and I was so terrified that I contemplated leaving the movie altogether! Recently other great scary films I've seen are Rebecca, The Haunting, and Ealing Studios' Dead of Night with Sir Michael Redgrave. Redgrave and his little puppet stole the movie! Oh, and I've seen portions of Stephen King's It with the talented Tim Curry. I really don't like clowns too much.

First time I saw Jaws was in 1979 on a theatrical re-release .... I was attending a summer camp for kids with disabilities and we went as a group. I'm pretty sure that movie gave me shark nightmares at the time. Now it's part of my DVD collection, along with the first sequel. While Jaws 2 is certainly not as good as the original, I got it free (plus $2.99 shipping) with points from my Columbia House membership -- you can't beat that. :D
