  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love scary movies and I always seem to get the most scared during movies that take place in hotels/houses. Probably because it is something everyone can relate to. For this reason, the movie "1408" scared the crap out of me. It is essentially about a man who is a ghost hunter and visits hotels that are haunted.

The scariest film I ever saw was the 1963 version of The Haunting. You never actually saw what was haunting Hill House. I think that this made it all the more frightening.

I also remember the first time I saw Psycho on the TV. I would be about 15 at the time. After watching the film my mother said off to bed. No way was I going upstairs on my own. For months after I could visualise Norman Bates mother in the fruit cellar.
