If you're facing brain-washing, you need a good dose of heart-washing. Don't be too concerned that human philosophies go against your faith - after all, you don't believe because someone convinced you on an intellectual level (I assume).

There are good christian philosophers out there, dead and living, and while they've said a lot of good stuff, it's quick to get so caught up in knowing about God, and defending his existance etc, that you forget to live with him.

I do not believe in God or Christ due to any intellectual or philosphical convictions. To be honest, I don't even know why I believe in Jesus-and I've given up trying to work out why I believe in Him. It is purely the work of the Holy Spirit and my obidience to His calling.

However, anti-Christian attacks still cause me to stumble, so these responses have been very helpful.

I am studying philosophy, and next year we have to look at "Beyond Good and Evil" by Frederich Nietzche.

To be honest, I am terrified. My faith isn't always stable as it is, and from what I've read so far he seems to be a very intelligent and very, very anti-Christian philosopher.

Does anybody here know of critiques or Christian answers to Nietzche's assertions, or could anyone just give a bit of their own knowledge or ideas about why it's stupid to listen to him? I get sucked into these things easily, and some ideas from you would save me a lot of stress and depression!

Please pray that having to study him won't land be back in the land of depressing disbelief again.

Lord Jesus I pray for AudioArtist's faith in you. Lord you have put us in a challenge when you put us in this world. The forces against you are coming from all directions but you have made us warriors of peace which can only be obtained by you. I ask Lord that you provide AudioArtist all of the wisdom he needs, all of the faith and pereserverence. Lord only in you we may know an everlasting love, an everlasting love worth fighting for. Your love is soo good, you bring us joy and peace, you bring us all that we need. I ask Lord that you hold AudioArtist very close to you, let him not run from you because in you he is wise, he is lovely, he is kind and compassionate, he is successful, he is all he ever wants to be in your name, but without you he is nothing. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.
