I've heard a lot of tales but the worse involved a woman who met a man online and allowed him to manage her children's inheritance. Their father was deceased and he lost it all. They were really young and she was foolish.

I'll start. This episode put the scammers on the defensive.:

I had someone try to scam me by making a duplicate Facebook profile of my mom’s. They were texting me in messenger saying I could get $100,000 grant from the government to buy a home and we’re trying to get my personal information. At first I thought it was her but I got tired of trying to get information about it thru text and decided to call her and she didn’t know what I was talking about. Turns out someone screenshot her pics on her Facebook page and created a new profile with all her info and pics to try to scam me. So glad I called her to ask more questions before filling out the application.

I got one of those robo calls about my car’s warranty and kept the guy on the phone for 20 minutes asking a ton of questions about what all it covers and doesn’t cover and when it finally came to giving him my information I finally told him I have no intention of buying anything from you, I’m just sick & tired of blocking your phone numbers on my phone 7 times a week so I thought I’d return the favor of wasting your time like you do with mine.

Another thing I like to do is try to sell them something. My wife & I make concrete benches, bird baths, and pagodas and sell them on Facebook so I start a pitch to try to sell them our concrete products saying things like they’re brand new in perfect condition solid concrete. This is high psi concrete I’m talking about Steve, 5,000 psi not that cheap 3,000 psi concrete that’s brittle and breaks easily. That's the exact same thing that happened to me! Except it was a friend's account they duplicated, and I called her to get more info and she was like what are you talking about?
