well, Him and the girl he's with (no clue what her name is/was, I forgot )end up back together, even after being separated because her fiancee also was in a race for the land. yes, all you had to do was put a flag into the ground to claim it as your own. he had just made it to a spot where the land was unclaimed, and then the fiancee shot Tom (or something, killed him) and the girl was crying over his body as the fiancee was telling him to come with her, and she refused. cutting to the chase, after a minute of screaming for him to come back, he kinda coughs and gets back up. after I saw that, I groaned (as did everyone else I was with)
